-A MEMORIAL SALUTE TO MY UNCLE HARRY!

He Proudly Served, Fought, & Died for Our Country!

Private First Class, Harold Snyder Jr., My Mother's younger brother, killed in Vietnam. My Mom, like so many others, wept uncontrollably when hearing the horrific news. Though I never had the chance to know him, he is forever in my eyes and heart, a true American Hero! "THANK YOU my dear Uncle, for the ultimate sacrifice you gave so unselfishly!" Every Memorial Day, and Veteran's Day, particularly, brings to mind all of life's fulfillments & adventures that you were denied of, and all the fond memories we will never share.
On Memorial Day, Veteran's Day, and every day, you will always be remembered with extreme gratitude, respect, love & honor!..."OORAH!"

-I put this memorial together utilizing his training book, Medals, including the Purple Heart, and picture of Jesus which he drew right before he went to war. This picture always fascinated me, and always represented a slight miracle of sorts!...
This picture always displayed in my Grandfather & Grandmother's house in a corner cupboard in the dining room. Occasionally the curtains would be drawn if the memory was too much to bear at times. Whenever we went to visit, I would always ask my Grandmother to tell the infamous story, and she would always proudly accommodate....
My Uncle Harry was never known to be a good drawer, and pretty much couldn't draw at all. On his birthday, just before he was to go off to war in Vietnam, he was doodling on this paper, and almost uncontrollably completed this miraculous likeness of Jesus!
When my Grandmother passed away, I asked if I could have the picture, and today is proudly displayed on my wall!...

THANK YOU to my Uncle, and ALL those who sacrificed for our beloved Country! To ALL who served, suffered injuries, POW, MIA's, these days, and every day, belongs to you with the utmost gratitude respect & honor! Always remembered, and never forgotten!

May God bless you, and may God continue to bless the United States Of America!

Your Loving Nephew,

Jeff Stanulis
