Adan Davila Valdez enlisted in The U.S. Army in 1950 at the age of 17 out of Ionia County Michigan and received his basic training at Camp McCoy Wisconsin. He was an Airborne Combat Engineer with the 32nd Combat Engineer Group. After basic Training he was deployed to Korea with the 811th Engineers. He was awarded The National Defense Service Medal, The Korean Service Medal W/3 Bronze Service Stars, The United Nations Service Medal and The Good Conduct Metal. He left the Army in 1955 and went to work for General Motors Corporation. He passed away in 1999 of Alzheimer's at the age of 67.
