Assisted living communities offer supervision, social opportunities, and care to people around 65 years of age or older. Assisted living communities frequently offer assistance with appointments and transportation, outings for social activity, and aid with daily activities. This community has a number of provisions concerning food and diet which include must provide three meals a day and meals must meet recommended dietary allowances established by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Staff must obtain training in a variety of fields. These areas include fire safety, abuse and reporting requirements, infection control, and emergency procedures.
