Minneapolis is a vibrant city with a deeply rooted love for music, food, and the outdoors. Known for their “Minnesota nice” attitudes, the people of Minneapolis tend to be friendlier than your average city dweller. For arts and entertainment, there is much to do in Minneapolis. The iconic First Avenue in downtown was the birthplace of the Minneapolis sound, made famous by Prince who first graced its stage in 1981.

For food, ‘Eat Street’ or Nicollet Avenue has tons of award-winning and affordable dining options that highlight the city’s diversity. The city also operates two light rails lines — the Green line, which runs from the business district of Minneapolis to St. Paul, and covers the University of Minnesota campus on both the east and west banks of the Mississippi, and the Blue line, which extends from downtown all the way to the southern suburb of Bloomington.
