The staff has been helpful, and responsive to questions I have. My loved one has adjusted well while at the community. Bingo, exercise, outings, trivia, pet visits and more are available activities for the residents to choose from.
I have had people in assisted living there and times go by I would not recommend this place. I will say they keep it nicer than independent living. The place is not kept up nice at all and the driveway is so bad. I would not recommend this place to anyone at all
Communication can be improved between the nursing staff and the head of nursing, but the staff is friendly. The community is neat and clean, and the food is good. I would recommend this community to others.
The staff are attentive, friendly, and caring. They're communicating well during Covid times. The place is clean, and they clean regularly about once a week. They have a lot of activities for the residents, including movies, bingo, lectures, . I would recommend this community to others.
Based on our tour, we had a good overall impression. But it had more of a corporate, business-like feel to it, and didn't have the homey, community feel we were looking for and ended up finding elsewhere.
We're happy here, all is good. The staff is responsive, and they're there to help you when they can. They very friendly, and kind and compassionate with my loved one. We like the opportunities for socialization - for instance, there's a little front room where people sit and gather, which is nice for talking to other residents and making relationships. I also really like that they have screened-in patios. We actually just got invited to a book reading, as family of the resident. Because of Covid, they haven't been doing a lot of activities, but once everything opens up, they'll be ramping those up on the assisted living side, and the independent living residents can join in there as well. They can also go over on that side to get food. One issue we had was at the move in point, some things were not done in a timely manner. They did fix things eventually, but it sounds like maintenance was just very short staffed. They're trying to find new maintenance staff now, so hopefully going forward those requests will be handled more smoothly.
I would tell others that residents are left unattended when they are put in the bathroom for 20-30 minutes at a time. The management staff is awesome but the aids here are not very friendly at all which is my main concern. Due to our experience I would not recommend to others who are looking.
I would recommend the community to others. The friendliness and cleanliness are standout items to me. It is a nice place to live.
Our loved one was only there for a month, and this review was our experience a year ago. The friendliness of the staff varied, but the staff members i did meet were very nice especially the receptionist. From what we saw that activities seemed great, they did offer a lot.
Our interaction with the management was good, however the health care workers were not so great when it came to the friendliness. When it comes to the care services our loved one needed they were more challenged and unsure on how to handle it.
Waterford Estates is a very nice property, they have a nice outside walking area. I have an apartment and it is perfectly fine for me. At the moment there are no activities due to COVID. I would recommend this community to a family or friend, but it could use a little bit of an update and maintenance
Nice facility in nice area. Apartments with smaller bathroom and kitchen area. Furnace takes up part of bedroom. Not much storage/closet area.
I am moving my mom out of this place today. She is in the memory care unit, and her care has been very negligent. I would not recommend this place. The floor staff are not engaged with the residents, the directors do not return phone calls. My mother has been very poorly cared for here.
I am moving my mother out of this facility today. The staff are very rude and during the transfer process would not return calls to anyone involved in her care. The aides do not engage in patient care, but sit in the back room on their cell phone. Do not consider this place unless your loved one is completely independent.
I wouldn't advise living here unless you don't need any assistance. The food is great and there are weekly activities like shopping, parties and going to restaurants plus there's a beautiful view from the side of the facility. There are spiritual enriching activities like bible study. If you are physically challenged then you won't receive sufficient care with dressing or toileting or pain control. They do your laundry and lose your clothes. The pca workers have no customer service training/awareness and talk the entire time they're working - to each other. The nursing staff and head are not organized or committed to caring with empathy and compassion.
Waterford Manor is the best place for my parents! We recently moved my parents into this community, and I must say it is hands down the best around. The staff are respectful, appreciative, approachable and bring a wonderful sense of homey-ness. Thank you all for all you do!!!
Nursing staff is terrible. I don't recommend this place if love one's need nursing asst.
They are great. The activities and social events keep the parents busy and interacting. It has worked out great and they really love this place. Thank you!!
Catholic services, 24/7 nursing close by, one bedroom two rooms with kitchnette + bathroom; no waiting fee, provide own furniture
The food is excellent. We have had some concerns in regard to when and what medications my loved one is receiving. Some of the medical technicians are not as friendly as others. Some of the caregivers are efficient, nice and friendly. They do offer some activities, however this does not seem like an active community. They do offer transportation, unfortunately if there are not enough residents signed up they will cancel the trip. We are pleased with this community so far.
