They do have movie nights, but the activities are still pretty limited due to the pandemic. The apartments here are adequate in size, and this is a good place.
I have refereed some people to this community already. It is a centrally located community. The rent is reasonable. The apartment is nice. Some of the activities included: bingo, monthly birthday celebrations, weekly coffee, yoga, chair sitting exercises, work out room, and field trips around the community.
Augustana offers a lot of activities. The place is really clean. Both the staff and the residents are very friendly. The apartments are a good size, the bedrooms are large and they have a lot of closet space and storage in the unit. Each unit also has their own storage unit in the basement too.
This place was nice but very expensive.

Thank you for visiting and sharing your thoughts here! While our rates are competitive with others in the area, our goal is to be affordable at a variety of income levels. We do have an internal reduced rent program for people whose income qualified. Please inquire at our marketing office for more details. --Kelly C., Director of Housing
My Mom is here and is adjusting well. She’s in independent living so there aren’t many staff members, but the ones that are available are fine. There’s a cafeteria available if she wants to eat there, the food seems to be good, and her room has a kitchen if she’d prefer to cook for herself. The apartment is a pretty nice size and has a good sized bedroom with a lot of closet space. The living area is decent and the kitchen is about average. There are all kinds of activities that the facility provides for the residents like coloring, games, movies, walking groups, exercise, and crafts. The overall cleanliness of the building seems to be good as well. I would recommend them, especially for the cost effectiveness.

Thank you for your thorough review and most of all, for taking the time to write it! We are truly pleased that you find the setting, food and activities to your liking and honored that your mother has chosen to live at Augustana Care.
We toured the Augustana Apartments of Minneapolis. It was a very nice community that was clean and looked well-kept. They did a nice presentation of the community. At the time we were looking for independent living for our loved one. Half of the family liked the facility and the other half wanted a different community. We ended up choosing another based on the care needs of our loved one had changed.
