Care and Comfort

The care at this community is outstanding. They keep me informed on her progress. She is very happy with the meals and they offer a good variety. They do offer her activities., but she is not active at this time. The community offers outstanding care with a great value and we have recommended this community to other families.

My sister and I were impressed with the facility which is an all inclusive rated facility. It had a very homey welcoming feel. We could retain all Mom's doctors and they provide transportation within a 2 mile radius. Staff was friendly and knew all the residents by name. The rooms are all different sizes and the difference between shared and private is the number of beds they put in the room. they have many activities residents can participate in, during our visit there was a local grade school band concert with a school choir later that afternoon. Some of the rooms were right off the cafeteria where snacks and drinks were available at all times. The few open rooms we saw were spacious and could be personalized with her TV and favorite furniture. This was our second favorite place and we could definitely see Mom here.

My Mom LOVED Saucon Manor! The fact that it's so close to my house (I'm her daughter), and how impressed she was, as was I, our search may even have stopped at our first tour. Saucon Manor has gorgeous living quarters, friendly staff, and the residents are happy, seem content and praise the food, staff and comfort. I'm so happy this was our first stop!

A nice place

Whitehall manor. did not have a room for my mom. I did like the staff. I feel that it would not have been a good fit for my mom. because it was a layout that she may have gotten confused in finding her way around. I did like the cleanliness of the community. They did have a variety of activities. I think families would still like this community for the value and the staff.

Nursing care is great!!

In 2016, 2017, Mom and Dad both lived at Saucon Valley Manor in Hellertown, they were very happy as was our entire family. They started in Independent Living, Mom moved to first level of Memory Care (as expected). Dad could visit her anytime and ate his meals with her. The staff was wonderful during the transition and helped my Dad cope as well (they had been married for 63 years). Family could visit anytime ( and we did often) unannounced and all we noticed was caring, compassionate, efficient staff. We could discuss habits, changes, medications, with the staff as they knew both Mom and Dad on a daily basis. Mom moved several times to other memory care units in SV as her Dementia declined at a quick pace. Each level was more care and more compassion and incredibly skilled care and each move they helped Dad to cope with the changes in his wife. Dad continued to live in his spacious apartment. We knew Saucon Valley could meet their needs and they would be safe and well cared for. What an excellent facility !! Best decision we made!

Great place for mom

My mom is in independent living and has settled in well. She enjoys her interaction with the staff and has found everyone helpful and friendly. My only complaint is there should have been an orientation. It took her about two weeks to figure out where things were and how to sign up for activities. However I can't say for sure if she asked for help or just tried to figure it out herself.... The meals are very good, there are daily activities, outings to the grocery store and local restaurants, . She's loving it at The Manor.

Friendly staff, all inclusive pricing structure is nice!

So far everything has gone well with Whitehall Manor. We're completely satisfied with the service they provide! The facility itself is nice looking and clean, and the staff have all been very helpful. We also really appreciate their all-inclusive pricing structure, it's much easier to budget when we know the price won't increase along with care needs.

Great facility and staff

Thank you [name removed] and the staff of Parkland Manor for being so good to my mom. In the last few weeks of my mother's life, she needed more care then we as a family could provide. Parkland Manor's staff were fantastic!. We were able to bring personal items such as her lift chair, end table, plants, etc. into her room and make it more like home for her. The rooms are like mini-apartments (except no kitchen of course) and the staff checked on her constantly and were always in communication with us. Beautiful facility.

Beautiful facility

In the process of finding an independent living facility for my 88 year old dad. Went on a tour and was quite impressed. The apartments available are in a brand new building and are really nice! They are also in the small town of Hellertown, so those that are mobile can walk to several types of businesses. Now we just have to convince dad that he needs to make that move!

Great

My mother lived at Bethlehem manor before she passed . I wouldn’t have chosen a better place for her to be I would visit often, good that I was close by. It is not a big community which I felt mom did better in [name removed] in the kitchen knew everyone’s meal preferences personally and gave a family-like atmosphere. Most encounters with staff were positive, some more friendly then others. [Name removed] was fantastic with mom..very caring and intelligent . anytime I had a question or concern she was the go-to She was very involved with moms health and all the other patients..it felt good to know someone else cared and mom was being looked after. She was in good hands I do wish there would have been more activities for mom to pass her time.., It’s not an easy decision to make for your parent.. but I’m glad it all worked out

Saucon Valley Manor is a very good place.

My mother has been at SVM for 1 year. She has Dementia and had been moved to a secured unit 3 months after admittance. I can't be more satisfied with the care she is receiving and the Staff is wonderful. She is safe and she does enjoy most of the activities and has made a few friends which is good for her level. Since she has been there I feel better that I know that she is being cared for lovingly and respectfully. She is in a very good place.
