I, as well as the rest of my family, love Saucon Valley Manor. You get constant updates from the staff. If you can't get there often, it's wonderful to have that feedback. Our loved one is under hospice care, and they update me twice a week. The chaplain visits her, so I get an update from him. She has a music therapist and massage therapist who each update me as well after their visits. So I feel like I'm always in the loop and well informed with what's happening with her - which helps me make better decisions. Every time I go there, the staff is very accommodating and friendly. Everything is in order and clean. Her clothes are clean and in order, and her items are where they're supposed to be. They have a hair salon on-site, and she gets her hair done there, which is wonderful. Anybody looking for a place, especially for end stage Alzheimer's - these people are amazing at keeping you informed. I can't speak highly enough about them. With the community our loved one was in previously, initially we didn't like that we had to leave because they were closing. But it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Saucon Valley has been 100% better for her, in terms of care, activities, communication, etc. It has been such a positive experience!

The location was very nice for us and it was just a very good first impression right away. The value here at Saucon Valley Manor is night and day compared to other communities in the area. We liked that a lot of things were included - some extra things we pay for is like the hair salon and nail salon.

I was not impressed with them at all for the fee they were charging.
Response from Saucon Valley Manor
September 7, 2022Thank you for your feedback! We provide the best in senior living to our residents and families. Our expertise, care, and accommodations are a great value to those that live here and their loved ones. Please feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions about the wide range of services and care that we provide.
The staff was rude to me, so imagine what they did to the residents. Mom was a dementia patient. The staff was on their phone, and away from residents. Mom's things went missing, such as her walker, clothing, eyeglasses, shoes, and hearing aid. There were blue/black bruises on mom. We moved her to a different facility. They put on a good fasad but were not good behind closed doors. I was not able to visit mom as often.

I would recommend the community to others for their loved ones. The kindness of the community has stands out to me. Every time we would visit my loved one the staff were very kind to us. The communication was good, and they answered everything I needed to know when I asked them. Medication management, bathing, dressing assistance and more are some of the care the community was able to assist with. The location is the only thing I would want to change about the community.

My loved one was in Saucon Valley Manor for 5 years. It is an excellent facility and we had a great experience here. The only reason I moved her was because the location was getting too far for me to drive to every day.

I was not impressed by our tour with Saucon Valley Manor. The facility felt dingy and dark, especially in the hallways. In the memory care portion of the facility the residents had no outside space to go to so they were just stuck inside. It is cheap, but you get what you pay for. I wouldn't recommend them based on our tour experience.

The staff members are very friendly but we do wish they could improve on their internal communication more. Right due to covid our loved one has complained about the meals and dining, the food is not being served on the regular plates but now on paper plates. The activities started out being very good but now they have cut back, however we would still recommend this community to others

This was a nice community it was just not a good feeling or vibe for my loved one. The tour was good just not the right fit for my loved one. I did not feel like she would adapt well.
Something that really stood out to us right away was how clean the community was and how there is never any fowl smells. The activities right now are pretty limited but that is due to the covid restrictions.

I looked at the assisted living on the top floor and it was ok, but when I walked into the memory care it was horrible. It was very depressing and institutional and they did not have a good outside area. I think the residents are well cared for it just did not fit what we were looking for.
This is a good community for the money that is paid. I have not had a chance to see any food or any activities due to Covid. The staff are friendly and compassionate and good to the residents. However, they do not return phone calls. Overall they are a good place and I feel that my husband is being well cared for and I am happy with my decision.

This community was good but they did not have the facilities to care for my loved one like she needed. Overall the community was good.
Staff is very friendly. Rooms are well thought out. Dining is varied and lots of choices. Unfortunately the place is short staffed in many areas of service

The staff were approachable and warm. The accommodations were great. And we received a fast refund for the unused funds when our respite stay was over.
