We chose Brookdale West Hartford because I knew the sales rep. We needed to make a quick move and they were amenable to everything we requested and it is was in a good location as well. The staff are very accommodating. The sales staff, nurses, activity director, CNA's - everybody. My only complaint is the food. My loved one was a picky eater and she was very limited on her options and you did not know in advance. It was probably ok for others, just not for her situation. I would definitely recommend Brookdale to others.
The staff here really makes me at ease. They are tremendously helpful and caring to me and my loved one. My loved one is transitioning very well. The people always keep me informed about anything or any progression that my loved one has made. They also offer a lot of activities. The food is good, but if there is a meal that my loved one does not like the chef will make what my loved one wants.
The staff is really friendly and helpful. Initially they had some trouble working out her medication schedule, but after a couple of weeks it got ironed out. And now everything is running smoothly. My mother is very happy there and feels like it's home.
