Mom has lived at Via Christe for almost two years. She has alzheimer's and we've found the staff at Via to be very aware of her specialized needs. Each individual resident is encouraged to maximize their personalities and talents. Employees have came to know of moms love of polka music and sports. So they try to find ways to incorporate these activities into her day.
My mom lived at Via Christe for 3 years. She was welcomed with open arms when she moved in and was treated with dignity and respect while she lived there until recently passing away. I am grateful that my mom lived at Via Christe because it truly felt like home and was a warm and caring community. I believe the staff strives to give the best in care while also making, or meeting the social and spiritual needs of the residents a top priority Via Christe is truly an exceptional Place.
If mom was unahppy she would let you know.
My mother has lived at Via Christie for four years! She loves it and so do we!! Hardest times are during this Covid pandemic but they are doing everything possible to keep residents safe.
I have been very pleased with the loving care for my mom at Via Christe!
The staff is awesome. They go above and beyond caring for my dad. They are loving, caring supportive, and are always looking out for his best interest. They stay connected to the family members. They figure out what he needs and take care it. The staff is amazing.
The staff has kept our mother safe during Covid-19 times. Always communicating with family about any changes. Best place for our mother!
My mother has lived at Via Christe for 4 years now! The definite advantage of this facility is that it is smaller and feels more comfortable when you enter the building. Daily Mass is offered to all who want to participate which is very unusual in any Omaha Asst Living settings. My mother chose Via Christe because of this opportunity. The food is excellent and Chef [name removed] is very creative. The facility is spotless and the cleaning staff works hard to maintaining the building. I enjoy visiting mom and usually drop in at various times throughout the day so I have the opportunity to communicate with the staff frequently. I can pick up the phone from home and call ir get a return phone call from the Director, Head of Nursing or Staff on my mother’s floor at anytime.Unlike a large facility all staff are assessable. [Name removed] the Activities Director is creative and energetic and there is never a day that several choices are available for residents. Rooms also are large and huge bathrooms and storage areas. I have total confidence in Via Christe for my mother’s needs and safety.
Well when I went to go tour this community they didn't have me down on the schedule and we had been communicating so they weren't prepared to give me the tour. So someone briefly showed me around and it was clean and nice. They answered all my questions. It was more old fashioned. And had mass 7 days a week which my mom thought that was too much. They told me they couldn't take their own showers and it had to be done in a community bathroom and right there made my decision. We chose something else.
Really outdated and looks like a office building from the outside.
