The Regency at Glen Cove is a very good place. It was the cheapest community we looked at and the best one as well. There are two things that really stand out to me - the people who are great and the food, which is really good. I would recommend this community to others.

In honor of my Mother’s upcoming 92nd Birthday and almost [date removed] anniversary of residing at the Regency, I would like to take this opportunity to express my appreciation for the positive effect of your staffs genuine care and kindness and for the clean cheerful facilities you provide. You were one of the few assisted living residences that took COVID seriously before it was the norm and were proactive in keeping everyone healthy and safe. I would especially like to thank the Regency for [name removed] who has become a vital and positive part of Mom’s life for making and transporting her to her medical appointments and especially for his moral support he gave her throughout her cancer treatments, caring for her like she was family (maybe even better). I am grateful everyday that [name removed] is a part of the Regency’s amazing staff. Thank you all so very much!

The Regency is a godsend. Bless them all for the incredible work they do. After 60 years of marriage, our parents moved into The Regency. They were in their 80's and my dad still drove everywhere. As he got sicker and his world diminished, The Regency gracefully stepped in and provided support in countless ways. The staff became both an extended family and a healthcare team, balancing the demands of medical care and human comfort effortlessly. I came to know many of them personally and marveled at their engagement, service and most importantly, their love. Nine years later, my dad has passed away and my mom, now 95, still calls The Regency home. She is known, supported, protected and loved by the whole team, who celebrate her as she is. Her quality of life is remarkable and the combination of care and service that surrounds her is almost miraculous. I'm not sure how [name removed] finds all of these remarkable people, but each member of the staff has a big heart and an uncommon generosity. My brother and I are profoundly grateful for The Regency, a truly amazing place that has provided my parents a wonderful home for nearly a decade. Many, many thanks to [names removed] and the whole team.

Dear Regency Family, I want to thank the Regency for so many things. My mom has been at the Regency now for a year and a half and has embraced all that is offered to her with grace and a smile. She loves talking to everyone and they love her. She exercises everyday, she's involved with games that occur daily, even though she says she never wins. Even during this difficult time for everyone and she can't see her family, she still connects with us with daily phone calls and facetime calls that the staff sets up for her. To me, that goes above and beyond. It made me cry knowing she was being cared for like she was family. I can't thank everyone enough for being there for her when we can't.

The Regency Assisted Living has been a part of my entire life as my Mom has worked there for over 25 years. I see how the staff treats the residents-with kindness and compassion. The residents are treated like family by the staff. The community is full of heart and you feel the warmth as soon as you walk in. The activities are fun, too- check out their Facebook page. During these COVID months, I have seen the staff go beyond the call of duty to make sure residents are happy and feel connected. The Regency will forever remain a place that is more than an assisted living it is a home!

We had a lot of trepidation about moving my husband's mom to Assisted Living as she was a very independent person for her entire life. After a fall that ended up in a fracture, we knew it was time that she be somewhere where she could get the help she needed while we worked. The Regency has turned out to be a very good place for her. She was fortunate to get one of the new rooms which is bright and cheery with a small refrigerator and kitchenette area and spacious bathroom. A beautifully decorated lounge with floor to ceiling windows and a gas fireplace and large screen tv are right outside her door as well as a sundeck that they can take advantage of in the warm weather. All of her meals are taken care of (a thing she has appreciated) and she thinks the food has been good overall. Being a city person, she feels far less isolated than she did when we moved her to an apartment close to us in the area on a quiet street. The residents themselves seem to be interesting people (e.g., former writers as well as veterans). They arrange frequent outings to the movies and local restaurants, and and offer daily exercise classes that even those with limited mobility can perform as well as hair and nail salon services. The Regency is also in a great location that makes it easy to go to dinner when we come visit. Both the residents and the staff ([Name removed] and [Name removed] are our go to people) are for the most part friendly and helpful when things come up. Like anywhere, you need to advocate for things when you see them and keep lines of communication open, but they are very responsive when requests are made or followups are needed. They have given us good referrals to doctors who specialize in the elderly. Overall, we would recommend the Regency to others who are afraid to take that step. It has been a relief to know she is being taken care of and also having the chance to be active and engaged.

Was not expecting me, perhaps mixed communication. Big facility. Like that they are putting money into facility. Although converted from a hotel/ apartment did not get the feeling of such. Hopefully wor will be completed soon. Like that are adding dementia unit for transition from AL if necessary. Competively priced.

Our mother was at the Regency for almost 2 years when we moved her closer to family. We have had trouble finding a place as good as the Regency at the new location. It is the people at the Regency that make all the difference-so caring, helpful...at all levels including staff in admin, the dining area, personal care, activities (of which there are many throughout the day, and maintenance). Even though our mother has memory issues, she was integrated into the general population which kept her much more stimulated, alert, and engaged. The rooms/apartments are of a very generous size and nicely maintained. Although our mother was not independent, the location was great as it is in the center of town and residents can easily walk to shops, restaurants, theaters, etc. which is great. It is the staff that make the difference in assisted living and I cannot praise the Regency staff enough.

They are able to accommodate both the location isnt secluded at all but offers security there appears to be lots of activity and interaction for both my Dad and brother and theres plenty of reassurance that they will be well taken care of in terms of bathing and housekeeping.

The Regency is a caring, loving and warm place. My mom was in the best of hands with Angelina Stone, Stella Shank and Beth Evans. Nothing was too much for them and they were always there to help. It is a friendly atmosphere where residents and staff make your loved one and family members feel welcome and at home!! The rooms were clean and well kept and the residents well taken care of. Great attention is paid to their needs and wishes. We loved how everything was decorated for each holiday and special occasions such as birthdays, etc. were a big event. Truly a wonderful place.
