They work hard to make a difficult process easier.

We've had a very positive experience. One of the only issues we've had was during the application process, some things weren't explained very well. We did some of the medical stuff ahead of time so it wouldn't be happening all at once. Then we had to do it all over again because it wasn't explained that it would have to be done within a certain amount of time. So the admissions and medical process was kind of complicated and cumbersome. But since we've been there and have been visiting, they've been very patient, gracious, and helpful in answering our questions. One of the best parts of the community is the staff. They go above and beyond on a very routine basis. They really work with us to allow our loved ones with different needs to stay in the same apartment. One of our loved ones has Alzheimer's and is really afraid to leave her room, but they have tried on numerous occasions to help her feel safe, and they encourage her to come out. I really appreciate the personal effort they make to help our loved ones get acclimated to their new environment. There have just been so many positive things we regularly see and experience here. I've tried the food several times and really enjoyed it. It's very good. They have a really good list of activities, and there are things to do like puzzles, TV, games, etc. if you don't want the more organized activities. Overall the value is good. My only complaint there is the cost to administer medications is high. But I would recommend them to anybody. I feel very safe having my loved ones here knowing that their wellbeing is protected.... Okay Community, Needs Improvement

I would recommend you look elsewhere. The staff is very friendly and accommodating; however, some of the services offered didn't meet up to the standards expected. There could be a new cook due to the taste and food choices offered. There has been several staff members that have left.

Great People, Great Bang for Your Buck, and Great Caring Staff

The care they provide is wonderful. The care level they can provide is limited. For Example they aren't able to draw blood on premises and certain other medical assistance. I would highly recommend this community, though. The food is excellent. The staff is very attentive. They are very responsive to the families with their questions or concerns.

Positive experience with high functioning memory care resident

My aunt has been at The Phoenix at Dunwoody for 2 years in the memory care unit. She is high functioning and they have made necessary adjustments to incorporate her in the outings with the assisted living residents when these outings were possible prior to Covid 19. While other senior communities have experienced positve Covid cases, this location has maintained high standards and the residents have stayed safe with no cases. No senior community is 100% perfect 100% of the time. But having experienced many years of at-home caregivers prior to her time at The Phoenix at Dunwoody, I can honestly say this is THOUSANDS of times better.

Do not do it

This place is the worst place to put a loved one in The staff is very unprofessional My mom had her wedding band and wedding ring stolen off her finger while she was in mental care there and [name removed] the executive director has done nothing about it The staff also refused my mom's friends and church members visitation with her She was not fed or cared for properly Do not use this facility all they care about is your money Go somewhere else or you will be very sorry

Very disappointed

Very unprofessional ando extremely high turnover. This facility has gone through 3 directors in the last year and a half. [Name removed] who is in charge of memory care is the most unprofessional, unkind and uneducated person there and he is leading the team. My loved one had many of her belongings go missing and nobody seems to know what happen and nobody seems to care. When you ask the staff questions they mostly respond with " I don't know, I am new here". I feel very badly for the residents in memory care and I truly believe that Phoenix only cares about the person paying the bill.

Phoenix Senior Living takes great pride in the excellence in care and services we provide our residents and their families throughout the Southeast. We are sorry to hear your comments and disappointed that you have not contacted us directly to discuss your concerns. As a provider of choice, that has been nominated for two consecutive years as a great place to work, the experiences you share are not consistent with what our families and associates share with us. It is also important to us that our Customer Feedback process, which is managed by a third party, consistently indicates high levels of satisfaction from our customers. We invite you to speak with our Executive Director to discuss your concerns.

Newly Renovated and Care staff is the BEST

This property has gone through some really great renovations and even added some new management. We toured here months ago and then again recently and the updates are really good! Everything looks nice and the staff is always engaging. They take care of the residents like family. I guess thats a great benefit of being a smaller community. Staff and nurse are so knowledgeable and caring with my Dad. He was super picky with food at the last community and now he never complains. They are always understanding and give him lots of healthy and tasty choices. We are so glad we found Phoenix.

I Chose to Live Here

I toured this community and ultimately ended up choosing this place. The Executive Director and his staff was excellent in making me feel at home. The sales gal was extremely helpful and never said anything negative about anyone else that I was touring, which really says a lot about someone. The Wellness Director was extremely knowledgeable. I saw first hand how he handled residents, especially in the Alzheimer's care unit. The care staff was so welcoming and helpful. Even the maintenance man was detailed when we moved in. Even down to the light bulbs being the same color. I'm not sure what it looked like before, but the renovations they have done really made it feel like a home.

Review of The Phoenix At Dunwoody

We were looking for a place for our mom that would provide needed care for daily living activities, as she has bad arthritis. She also wanted a community that was intellectually and socially stimulating. In the end, we chose another community that offered a larger community, a larger room with a kitchenette, and one closer to her many doctors. [name removed] and the staff seem outstanding!

Review of The Phoenix at Dunwoody - Dunwoody, GA

[removed] was our sales representative and she was wonderful. Friendly, professional, answered all our questions, not pushy. The residents we spoke to about the facility were satisfied with their living conditions. The studio we toured was spacious, nice. The location was quiet. It was nice to meet the director. My only negative is the common areas seemed a little drab, could use more color.

[Removed] was wonderful and answered all of my questions. My Mom needs a step up from her independent living facility and The Phoenix at Dunwoody was a good fit. The price was in my budget and the residents that I spoke with were satisfied with their experience. The studio that I looked at was large and spacious. Definitely a good touring experience.

Nice Tour!!

I have no complaints of how things went throughout our tour that I had of this community for my loved one. The staff where on time to our appointment and made sure to answer any questions I had for them. The floor plan was open and they had a lot of great amenities to offer all of the residents. It was just not the right fit in the end decision.

5 Stars alll the way!!

I am very impressed with this community. I have tried the breakfast there and I liked it. The food smells good when I visit. They have activities from 10:00am to 3:00pm daily. They offer family oriented activities at least twice a month. They always have refreshments set up for visitors. I would highly recommend this community. The staff are extremely professional, courteous, polite and bend over backwards for the residents and their families.
