About the facility The Mary Culver Home

The Mary Culver Home is a not-for-profit senior living community for visually impaired women nestled in a residential area. Located in the suburban city Kirkwood, Missouri, the community is less than 20 miles southwest of St. Louis. Feel at peace knowing multiple hospitals are within driving distance of the community.

The community is a licensed intermediate care facility. Additionally, hospice services are available. While nursing care is provided with a minimum of eight hours daily, compassionate caregivers are available around the clock. With a total of 27 rooms, the community offers homelike private bedrooms.

An activity director and assistants create a full schedule of daily activities like pet therapy, brain games, exercise, and more. When activities are not fulfilling, your loved one’s life volunteers offer companionship and focus on things their senior companion wants to do. Socialization is encouraged during the community’s happy hour hosted twice a week. A beautiful mural lines the wall at the on-site chapel where seniors can participate in Bible study. Relax outside on the patio with a beautifully scented communal garden. Whether your loved one prefers dining in their room or eating amongst friends in the sunroom, delicious meals are served three times a day. Value a...

A Place for Mom has scored The Mary Culver Home 7 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.

We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.

Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
