The Inn at Silver Lake was our second choice, the location was perfect and the outside campus was beautiful. The lady who was showing us around the facility was great and so responsive to any questions that we had. The building was not as nice and new as another place we were looking into, and that is ultimately what it came down to.
do not pick this place because they are very short staffed and they did not make that clear when we moved our mom in. she unfortunately had several falls, ended up in the hospital, and contracted Covid during her stay at The Inn at Silver Lake. my mom was in the memory care unit which is separate from the independent/assisted living side. the assisted living side was absolutely lovely. if you're healthier with no need for advanced care, this would be a good facility. if your health is in a declining state and you're in need of one on one care, I don't recommend. it was often difficult to find people; there were instances where we had completed our visit and needed a staff member to let us out with their badge, but had to wait 20-40 minutes just to locate one individual. we had such high expectations after hearing about other people and their experiences here, but it was very disappointing.
our tour was awesome and we found this community to be very nice. we chose another community because Wingate could not accommodate the different needs of my loved one and their partner.
I spoke with the Inn and they were lovely. We actually have friends who have family members at this facility and they are very happy with their experience.

The staff are very friendly and great with communication and response time if I have any questions or concerns. They have tons of activities provided and they have a calendar each month and it is always filled each day. My loved one said when she first got here the food was very good, they did change chefs recently and it has gone downhill some. My loved one has noticed that it seems that assisted living does have more options food wise than the memory care side. We had a couple of issues with the type of care that she needed at first. They do offer all types of care here which is very nice and they take medicaid. Overall it has been a pretty good experience and I would recommend them to others who are looking, just make sure you are an advocate for your loved one.
We are very comfortable with the staff and the community is very clean. I highly recommend this community.
This community had a pleasant smell and didn't have a cleaner smell. I feel you get a lot for your buck. I felt the medical staff was good. The director wasn't as good. The nurses are very caring and the CNAs are great. There was always there to help with my loved one. The director stated he called us about my loved one and the National Guard. My family and I never received a call or message from the director. There is no follow up by the director. The food is good and that is a big deal. The meals are very good, and you can go and eat with your loved one. There is a variety of food. The reception area always has someone there and it is a family atmosphere.
It is nice and clean, and forgiving. The staff help my dad out. The community is very clean. It is a nice place and take great care of him. We looked around and he had a cat, and allowed the cat to join him in the community. It is a well lite community. The place is awesome. They go out their way to make my loved one comfortable.
management not dialed in and they are not proactive. not a place you would want a loved one to be at for the long haul.
Very nice place, I simply liked other places more. The person that gave my son and I the tour was [name removed] - who mostly spoke to and maintained eye contact with my son instead of me during most of the tour. Just a suggestion, but when providing a tour for a possible client the focus should be on the client and not their son or daughter accompanying them.
I really like the care that my mom is getting here from the care in this community. The staff keeps me informed on her progress. They do offer activities for the residents that want to participate. The community is very clean. I happy to know that she is getting wonderful care for a good value. We would recommend this community for the care to other families.
It has been very positive for my friend since moving in. The meals have been good. The care has been very good with no problems. Activities are available for residents. I like that they have public events to engage with the family and guests. They will be dong trick or treating and having a Halloween party.
