Good Experience

Elderly relative spent 12 days there after a short hospital stay. Nursing staff and therapy staff(cognitive, occupational, physical) were attentive and professional. Social work staff was very helpful. She made progress prior to insurance mandated discharge.

The Good, The Bad and the very much UGLY.

The Good, The Bad and the very much UGLY. I am about to post a very fair review of THE GRAND'S "SKILLED NURSING FACILITY" in Dublin. My wife suffers from Parkinson Disease and as a result of a fall needed a Skilled Nursing Facility to recover in [date removed]. I was given a Medicare. Gov. listing of Skilled Nursing Facilities in [date removed] to select a location. At that point The Grand was very highly rated. I will only discuss one category "Staffing" and it was "Above Average" for me to have selected that location. The current rating for "Staffing" at The Grand published by Medicare.Gov. is "Much Below Average". My wife was there for 7 months until [date removed], when she suffered a seizure and arrived at Riverside Methodist Hospital with a temperature of 102 degrees and PNEUMONIA in both lungs. Most of the Nursing Staff who I have met scheduled for the evening shift are undertrained at best. In seven month, The Grand, can only now be described as an "UNSKILLED NURSING FACILITY".
