I have lived at Sunrise at Flatirons for over 10 years. I moved in to Assisted Living after an extended rehab stay. With help from the amazing staff and therapy, I was able to regain my strength and independence and move to Independent Living. I have been so pleased with the activities, the meal options and the top notch staff. I did not realize how lonely I truly was living in my home. Now I have friends just down the hall and staff to joke around with and share my wisdom. I enjoy spending time meeting new friends over a meal. The activities are top notch. We go on scenic drives to the mountains, trips to Central City, trips to the art museum, not to mention all the amazing programs to not only entertain but expand our minds that are conducted at the community. My family enjoys the peace of mind knowing I am living in a place where I have created new relationships and have noticed that I am more engaged than when I was living home alone.... Read more

Our family had an in person tour with Sunrise at FlatIrons and we thought it was a very good tour experience, but it was just going to be way more money

We toured the Independent Living at this facility and the tour was good. The people we spoke to were very nice and they were very good at following up with me after the tour. The facility was clean. I didn't love the layout of the apartments as much. They had lovely outdoor spaces. The thing that we didn't like is that it is a very large facility, which could be difficult for someone with mobility issues. We didn't see the Assisted Living, so I can't speak to that.
Sunrise at FlatIrons was not for us. The lady who was showing us around seemed disinterested which did not give us a good feeling. The facility has multiple stories and the room that they had available was just about as far away from the dining room and activities that it could be. The atmosphere was also very noisy.
Our tour was great and the facility was beautiful. If the location was a little bit closer to us, this would have definitely been our first choice.
Sunrise is a lovely facility, this was our second choice especially if we had decided to go with independent living rather than assisted. The facility it bigger and mom was wanting something more small and personal.
A gorgeous fairly new facility, looks like a vacation resort lodge. lots of activities happening and nice amenities. Nice meal options too.

When we first drove up to this community our first initial thought was that it was too big. It was because it is a tiered place with assisted living, memory care, etc. When we went to tour the facility and talked to the staff they were very friendly. The amenities that they provided seemed appropriate. What I didn’t like about the facility is that it is multilevel and the stairs are not covered. I talked to them and voiced my concern that someone could fall over, but they tried to assure me that they make sure that they get up safely. Realistically the stairs could not be monitored 24 hours a day. So I believe that the stairs should have some type of blockage.

We toured this community for my mom. The staff was caring and very nice. We liked the clean environment. The menu looked appealing and the activities would have been offered for my mom. The size of the rooms was not big enough for my mom to feel comfortable. We would suggest that families tour this community for the care of a loved one.

Very nice place. 3,000.00 move in fee. Supply own furniture. Does not take Medicaid. Would share kitchenette with another person. Food, activities very similar to Birchwood. Price for high level of care 6,000.00+/month.

The tour was really good, seeing a nice community and the atmosphere. My intake to what was being told to me, was not the same as what I was seeing in the Memory Care. They didn't do a lot with the residents. I saw some sitting in front of the television. Not much activities or stimulation. They were professional.

This community had a nice and welcoming staff. The sales representative was also very friendly. The rooms I visited did not smell as clean as I thought they should. I was not sure if my dad would need only a memory care place or an assisted living facility. Initially, he was accessed for memory care. The place I ended up choosing re-accessed my dad and could tell he had definitely improved and was up to assisted living.

This is a nice community for the care of my father. We like the care for my father, but they need more communication. The menu is very appealing and he is pleased with the variety. They offer my father to get involved and he is happy with the trips away from the community. I would gladly recommend this community for the care and the value for other families and there loved ones.

Cost is fair but want $650.00 for spouse or 2nd person.

This is a beautiful, well maintained facility with nice amenities. It is reasonably priced compared to other facilities. I was impressed that the staff (even the maintenance folks) greeted residents by name. The only downside is that the waiting list for independent living is 1-2 years. Rent includes a daily continental breakfast plus one additional daily meal. Unused meals are forfeited.

The staff here are nice and helpful. The food is good and they keep the community clean. They offer daily activities as well as a gym and a movie house. I would recommend this community.

A Place for Mom has scored Sunrise at FlatIrons 8 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
