Any issues that have popped up have been communicated good. I have to say that the double diaper change is working out pretty well. They've had a couple contracting companies come in to assist with that. Overall Springwood Retirement is a 4 out of 5, they're good. The only negative thing that stands out right now is that there is no Wi-Fi, so I cant do a closed caption phone. The positive thing that stands out is that the staff are cordial, friendly, and always willing to listen.... Read more
“My Father lived at Springwood for 8 years and had nothing but the best experience. Great and caring staff and administration. The food and dining staff were excellent as well. He enjoyed his time at the Community.” - Resident Family Member

The staff are very involved and many of the staff members have been with the community a long time. They know the residents and take great care of them. This is a quieter community and some of the residents aren't as social as others due to health issues. The staff are great to work with if the family has questions or concerns about our loved one. Happy hour, Uno, monthly celebrations, outside entertainment, and more are some of the activities offered to the residents. My loved one loves the food offered. They have eggs anyway you want it and the residents love this once a week option.
Based on our tour, we thought Springwood Retirement was great. The only negative for us is they dind’t have transportation. We definitely would have considered them otherwise.
I love the continuum of care offered, from independent living to memory care, with options for duplexes and apartments. Lots of residential outdoor space, courtyards and gardens. In a quiet neighborhood. Springwood is wonderful!

Moved here in March of 2013. My building is the Fountains, the independent living building on this campus. Other residents are amazingly compatible and friendly. There has been a rather constant turnover in managers most of them were average, no more. Less than a year ago we were gifted with the most amazing, empathetic, hard-working, creative woman you could imagine. Every resident in this building has been impressed and even more so with the corona virus upending our lives. To protect us, an aging and vulnerable group, this manager has gone above and way beyond. We gave been cared for in every way ---however today we find that this person, our wonderful caregiver, has been fired and we are left feeling that one more factor in our lives has changed and unnecessarily. What executive director in her right mind would take an action like this at a time like this? I question her stability and would like the owners of Springwood to begin a serious investigation.
They are baffled by any care changes. Ordering new medications, no lift policy even when a senior needs a little help and they broke a pair of glasses with no offer to repair. Did admit the staff broke them however. Their menu of charges waiver and they will charge at times what is not provided. My relative was lonely and staff often stood at the front desk chatting with each other. We had quite a few missing items including some jewelry. They did not investigate or offer any remedies. We moved and our relative is doing tons better. We were in assisted living and it was very quiet most of the time. Little going on and food was so so. They claim to have a nutritionist but should look at service and offering an adequate meal that is not so high in salt and fat.
Resident of the assisted living; had to wait at the table in the dining room for 30-50 minutes before the food came. Medical staff ran out of medications without notifying family. Personal items disappeared from the room, many of value, administration was very slow to respond to inquiries; often over a week to return an email or phone call. If your loved one has any medical needs, like monitoring of blood pressure, or sugar levels that need attention urgently this is not the place for them. Do not let resident keep anything of value. Would not recommend this place.
I had visited Springwood several times before signing on with APFM. Although this is an older facility, it appears to have been updated nicely over time. The separate memory care wing is impressive and has a home-like feeling. I would consider Springwood when decision making time arrives.
They do not accept large dogs so we said goodbye.
When I was first touring this community, I was very impressed by how active everyone was. They offer a lot of activities and the tenants really take advantage of that and participate in a lot of things. All of the tenants I’ve met are very friendly and helpful. The staff members are also nice and they go out of their way to help you. Everyone knows your name after only a few days of being here. The facility itself is nice and the grounds are kept up with nicely. For activities, they offer a lot of games, clubs, and 3 different exercise classes. I would recommend this facility to other families.
I toured Springwood while looking at living options for myself. However, the person in charge who I toured with did not have a room available, so I wasn’t able to see one. All in all, they seemed very unprepared, so I chose another community.
A long wait list. The least expensive option I saw. The place seemed nice. I may have caught the representative on a bad day; she wasn't eager to take us on.
We toured this community that is very big. The community was nice and clean and the dining. They offered a lot of activities. The staff were warm and caring for the care for what we wanted. We liked that dining area and the activities that are offered are good for everyone to stay active when possible. We would highly recommend this community for good care and value for others.
I love how caring and genuinely concerned the staff are about there residents at this community. They take a lot of pride in there job and it shows through there work. The facility is always very well maintained and clean which is comforting to know my mother is living in a well taken care of establishment. She has been really enjoying the meals they serve and the dinning experience with the company of the other residents.
terrible customer service. They assessed my mom, admitted her, then asked her to leave roughly 20 hours later. Refuses to refund any portion of the $1,000 community fee and is insistent upon keeping the 10 days rent after vacating apartment that is specified in the lease. The facility's position is that they were not equipped for the level of care my mother needs--- and that her behavior was vastly divergent from all of the assessments--- never any admission that perhaps they made a mistake in admitting her in the first place. Flawed system that allows the elderly to have their life savings gobbled up.
Our Sr Advisor was the best. Gave us 9 choices, We were under a very short time frame to find a new location. We found what we wanted and what worked best for our mom. Definitely recommend using this site.
They were a nice looking community and it was clean. The apartment we were shown, it was very small. Otherwise, during our tour there were people all around doing things. They seemed happy in their community. This place was too far for us.
Dad is doing exceptionally well at Springbrook Retirement and it has truly turned out to be the perfect place for him. He has the luxury of having the assistance although he is still able to do most things on his own. There are plenty of activities for him to participate in if he'd like and the staff are very nice, friendly, and easy to work with most of the time. Dad has his good days and bad days with the food but can still cook in his room if he chooses to do so. There is a large turnover with the staff in the dining area although that's no big deal. Overall we are very happy with the place and would definitely recommend.
We are so very happy with Springwood Retirement and Mom really likes it there as well! The staff have been nice and friendly and very encouraging to Mom. She's able to engage in many different activities and likes the food. All in all its been great and I would highly recommend the place!
