I was never allowed inside to visit during Covid, but I was able to have window visits outside with the window open about 4 inches. The limited areas I was able to go inside didn't have any kind of nursing home smell. Everyone seemed engaged with the activities going on, and they seemed happy. I talked to other people who had loved ones there, and they raved about it. My loved one never talked much about the care he received, but I could see that they kept him clean, and he was well-fed. The place itself was nice enough and looked like it was a good place. Not being able to be there hands-on, it's hard to assess fully. I would recommend it for somebody with minor medical problems. The staff were very caring and did the best they could. It was just hard for me not to be hands-on and be there with my loved one. But I think restrictions around visiting are changing and lifting now.
I would not recommend the community if your loved one needs lots of care. If your loved one can walk, and talk this would be a good community. My loved one has lost weight since being here. They need to be upfront with the care services they offer and what they won't do. There were a lot of surprises to us after getting into the community.
It is a very caring community. We were able to have virtual visits with our loved one. The staff communication was great.
We chose Spring Village because the rooms were very nice size and had a much better atmosphere. The staff here was good, but they were not trained properly for the type of care that we needed, but they did work very hard. They did have a lot of activities provided to the residents. My wife passed away here, I did not like at the end the way that it was handled. I would recommend depending on the care your loved one needs.
Due to COVID we have only been able to go in to to see my loved one, one time. Everyone has been outstanding. My mom seems very happy. The food has been good. The community has lots of activities. They even have medical staff that comes to check in on residents. The have an advanced Nurse Practitioner. The community has been able to assist in getting things expeditiously done for my loved one.
When I was looking for a new home for my mother, I was not sure where to begin. Many of my friends reccomended Spring Village. After visiting all assisted livings in the area, Spring Village won hands down. The friendly and knowledgeable staff made me feel at home and I could picture my mom living here. Its been over 9 months now and we have not regretted it for a moment. During COVID, I knew she was safe, her medications were managed, she was eating well and most importantly she was surrounded by a caring, loving and devoted staff. She was never alone but more important, never lonely. Thank you Spring Village for all you do!
This community exceeds our expectations! The staff shows such compassion and respect toward the residents and treat them like family. It is clean and smells fresh, activities are creative and engaging and the food is outstanding. This was the best choice for our dear friend that moved here from Florida!
I am an attorney who has and had had several clients residing in both units of this facility. I have been impressed with the cleanliness of the buildings, resident rooms, and common areas, the care of the staff, and the programs offered. I am also aware that their COVID numbers are virtually nonexistent - a credit to their proactive procedures.
My mother has Alzheimer's. Spring Village staff provided excellent care for her. They are very patient with her, which is important to me. The facility is always kept clean and orderly. Their care through the COVID-19 was exceptional. They kept us informed of testing and procedures.
Very clean, nice people, loads of amenities and activities for the residents. I was very pleased
The folks are very kind however communication is lacking between shifts. The family is asked to provide more and more care as your loved one declines. If Dad wasn’t in hospice care, I don’t know what we would have done. Not enough aides thru evening/night shifts. We had to pay extra to hire companions. His first year’s bill was over $80,000.
Spring Village is very nice. The staff is kind and caring. It is a very good fit for my dad.
Mother got to the point where she needed more care than we could provide. I contacted A Place for Mom for help. They found facilities for us to choose from. We chose to tour Carriage Court in Hilliard Oh. We liked the staff and facility very much. Mom has been there about two months now and is doing very well. We can sleep at night now not having to worry about her. There are plenty of staff and they are caring and professional. Mom is in memory care and there are daily activities to stimulate their patients. Great facility.
They were quick to respond to my inquiries, however, we found another place rather quickly that is perfect for us.
Very interested and we are going to make another visit.
We moved our 98 year old Uncle in 2 weeks ago. He was always reluctant to go into an assisted living place. He absolutely loves it. Staff couldn't be friendlier or more attentive. They are so kind. He even loves the food. I have talked with a few residents who have been there for a few years and they love it too. Highly recommend it to anyone.
We are absolutely amazed at how well my Father-in-law is doing here. He seems so content, it’s unreal. The staff has been very good. The only complaint we have is that they haven’t been doing his laundry as often as they should be so we had to start doing it ourselves. A lot of his clothes have gone missing as well. He says the food is fair, it isn’t great but it’s okay. The facility appears to be clean and kept up with. There are a few activities like bingo and other board games, bowling, and a few other physical based games. He loves the bowling because he was a bowling champion when he was younger. My Mother-in-law made the comment that she hadn’t seen him smile and light up in a long time like he did when they were bowling, so it’s been nice to have him participate in activities like that. The building he’s in is just for memory care and they have another whole building dedicated to only assisted living. Overall, he’s been happy here and that makes us happy.
Right now I am not very pleased with the level of care that my mother seems to be receiving. She seems to be over medicated and not very responsive and sleeps for most of the day. We have spoken to the nursing staff and the administration and we get told things will change but everything seems to be the same. The nursing staff is friendly and try to accommodate us.The food is not good from what I have been told. The expectation that was set for us is not being met in my opinion and that is very disappointing.
I had a good tour of Spring Valley at Galloway. The facility was nice and clean and all of the people that I came in contact with were friendly and welcoming. After considering it with my aunt, we chose another community that fit her needs a bit better.
The staff is really friendly and super helpful with my loved one. The community was kept very clean and they have been really good about keeping me updated with what is going on. We just feel now after being here for a while that my friend needs more care. We did pick this community because it was clean and the staff was great. We weren't let down.
