I’m celebrating my anniversary living at Skyline Village. My studio apartment is just ideal for me and I’ve been very happy here. The view is amazing. Our vast lobby and seating area welcomes you to relax and visit with your neighbors…and roomy enough to host live entertainment for our enjoyment. We have a nice dining room serving three meals a day. Fun activity room with a well loved library, games and puzzles, big screen TV, even karaoke. Activities from Bingo, holiday parties, Drama Club, movies, etc. Great Beauty Salon! Amenities galore, but the best one is our hard working and caring staff. An excellent facility for seniors

The staff member are just higher than 5 stars, they have always been so gracious, and loving with out exception and our father just raves about them. He is so happy living there. It is a good community and the residents seem very happy. They have so many different opportunities to participate and start up their own clubs. We also really appreciate that there are not political vibes there, there is no right wing or left wing which is a huge plus.

Very Beautiful, But Needs Improvement

I wouldn't recommend you not take your loved one to this community. They don't have cover the front desk for security. There is no mandatory signing in or out. The staff acted friendly at first and they weren't friendly at all. The community had spiders and other bugs in the community itself. I told the community about a situation needing cleaned up and it wasn't done the day after the complaint. They made us come through the back door due to us not being vaccinated. They told us we would eat outside, and not in the dining room. During the move in process they didn't ask for our ID cards and took our credit card and ran it anyway. This is a major concern of mine as anyone can walk in and do this.

Good community

Most of the staff members were very accommodating to me just being a friend, as well as accommodating to our loved one in the community. Our loved one wanted their own independence, but unfortunately they also expected the staff members to help out more then what they did. The staff definitely did more then what they were supposed to do, and our loved one ended up having to leave because their health was declining and they needed more assistance. For what it is worth, it was a really good suit for her, the building itself looked great, but sometimes they did not clean the room weekly like they promised. However, we do know they were pretty short staffed. We have nothing against the community, it was a good community.

Due to covid, there are very little activities and there is an elevation that has to be used in the community. I would recommend this community to others if you are totally independent.

A great place for your loved one

I think it's a great place, and the staff is wonderful. They have a chef and the food is served restaurant-style, they have a great variety and the food tastes amazing, and the desserts are amazing also. They are having an issue with bed bugs but are working really hard to resolve the issues. I would recommend this facility to others.

Great Value for a Home Like Atmosphere

The community is doing somethings to keep the residents entertained. They have music, outside events, and games are some of the activities still going on. I have recommend this community to some friends already. They have been proactive during the pandemic, and have handled this very well for the residents and families.

Skyline Village at Red Mountainis Beautiful

Skyline Village at Red Mountain is beautiful; if you're an artsy person this would be the perfect place. The view is absolutely amazing. The rooms were quite small, but they were updated and nice. I got to meet the activities director and I saw the residents making something. They have exercise classes and I also met the exercise person. I saw the menu and the food. I walked around outside and saw a lot of different rooms. They spent a lot of time with me; they were very nice. I saw people doing laundry in the washer and dryers, I met the cleaning people, and some of the kitchen staff. They were having a hotdog cookout on the day of my tour. I also met the person in charge of that. I think I met everybody there and the residents seemed very happy. There's a huge outback that's almost like a garden. You can see for a hundred miles; it's amazing.

I found out about Skyline Village through A Place for Mom. This service was very helpful to me in a great time of need.I went from feeling like I had no where to turn, to having many solutions due to the caring representative with this service. After listening to our needs, we were sent to Skyline Village. Words cannot express how grateful we are to have found this community for my sister. Rudeness & False advertising

Senior reps makes promises that are never kept & very disrespectful towards residents along with employees. Hr rep ([name removed]) told residents to shut up after noticing bed bugs & if they said anything they would be evicted.

Skyline does not live-up to its online video presentation.

My close friend moved to Skyline Village at Red Mountain in August 2018. At first this community was a dream. Since then, amenities have declined. While the population here has increased, transportation is now limited to one day per week. When the driver is suddenly unavailable, residents are not able to keep their medical appointments and have to reschedule within a new two week window. Taking an Uber gets to be very expensive over the course of the month. The van that is shown in the online video is rarely used. Use of the van would be most helpful to persons with disabilities. Instead residents have to ride the bus. Also, housekeeping services, continue to be offered by one housekeeper. My friend's apartment was not cleaned recently for three weeks. The housekeeper told my friend that she was just one person with too many apartments to clean. My friend also states that meals no longer compare to the wonderful offerings of just a few months ago. Another area of concern is that staff is not always respectful or patient with residents. Tone of voice is mean spirited. Also, the open door policy of the administrator has been replaced by a required appointment. I ask what has happened to such a beautiful and impressive looking community. Could it be that Skyline is more concerned about cosmetic appearance, filling apartments, and not value of services offered? To Skyline I say get your act together and listen to the needs of your residents.

Executive Director is very rude and she do not know how to talk to potential customer. I decide to move into another independent living facility because of her attitude.

A beautiful property and an exceptional value for persons 55 and older

My husband and I ate lunch at Skyline Village on 6/22/17 and then toured the facility. The food was good and the daily menus impressive. Except for the studio, which is a good value for a single individual on a budget, the apartments are large, including the bedrooms, and the bathrooms have been outfitted with roll-in showers and grab bars in the shower and next to the commode. The common areas are beautiful and the views from the patio and all apartments extraordinary. Transportation is provided and home care services can be purchased from a contracted home health agency when The need arises. If one acts during initial leasing, one's monthly fee never goes up. An exceptional value for persons 55 and over.

A new community for care

I like the care at this community for my mom. We like that the community is new. The staff is caring and helpful. The do need more staff so that they are able to transport residents. The menu is appealing and a nice variety. The community needs more activities, but right now there are not a lot of residents.I think that families should tour this community for the care of a loved one.
