About the facility Sarawood Assisted Living
Sarawood is an assisted living home with a capacity for 28 residents. All rooms are private. Some rooms have private half-baths and the others share a bath (usually no more than two to a bathroom).
Sarawood is family owned and operated. Included in the rates are three meals daily, weekly housekeeping, linens and activities such as bingo and shopping. We handle medications in accordance with assisted living regulations, assist with bathing, dressing and other personal care services. We also schedule doctors appointments and arrange transportation when it is not being handled by the family.
Cable TV and other utilities are included, except telephone. Laundry service is available at a small charge.
Sarawood is located on two acres of landscaped grounds in the highlands section of Holyoke. There is an elevator.

Terrible facility
This place is horrible in every way imaginable. The building is deteriorating, the roof has a huge leak that’s causing a mold problem and has been neglected for almost a decade. Most of the staff is a joke, except for a CNA or two. The administration is more concerned with not having to work, themselves, that they have employed drug addicts who indulge while on the clock. The “air conditioning amenity” is nothing more than nasty ac’s that are never cleaned, stored in a moldy basement and then set back up each summer to make your loved ones sick. The CNA’s are the ones required to do the housekeeping on top of the fact that they’re the ones doing med rounds, so you can pretty much guess nothing ever gets cleaned and med errors occur often. The food is bought cheap and cooked terribly. (They say gluten free options, but that was just residents having to purchase their own gluten free items to be prepared). Without a doubt the worst place you could leave someone you care about. DON’T!!!!

Not happy
Not happy at all. They charge 3,000 to3,500 a month and they take the residents to Good Will to shop for clothing. The unground pool is not open or maintained and they only have a treadmill for work out equipment. When thinking about
