I would encourage others to come here. The location and community is very nice. I like living here. The staff are wonderful and right here for the residents. They are fantastic. The food has improved since I have moved in, and it is pretty good. They have special dinners on occasion.
My in-laws love their large unit with lots of storage compared to most communities. However they have been highly disappointed by the quality/variety of meals and the community is understaffed especially in housekeeping and maintenance. Same front desk staff are not attentive (check-in, security) and there are issues with community/resident communications.
I wouldn't recommend this community. In fact I am leaving in a bit. The food is not good, so I fixed my own food. I had a 2 bedroom room apartment, and it is nice. This was one of the biggest apartments they had to offer. It was better before COVID, and now you can't go anyplace. If you have to go to a hospital then you had to be quarantined.
We chose this community mainly because of the staff members [names removed] also it is a half a mile from our house. The apartment itself is a nice size for my parents and we like its newness. They are in independent living moving towards assisted living and are able to make that change without moving. They have undergone new management. Before this change, the facility would get a 5, but since the new management and COVID it has gone downhill. Due to COVID, they are not cooking the meals here. Before COVID the food was great, but now is it not good. I would not recommend this community right now due to the management change and COVID.
They seem to be dedicated to keeping things at the community clean. The staff is great; they are even bringing us our meals to our rooms and they go above and beyond. The food is good, although it is a little fattening. The main thing is that they cannot accommodate for special diets. Previous to the Covid-19 pandemic, they had adequate activities, however they could have been better and had more.

August 5, 2020Thank you so much for taking the time to give us your feedback. We value our residents and our family members and appreciate your honesty. Please let us know if you are on a special diet and we will do our best to work within your guidelines. We would be happy for you to speak with Percata or Shantay regarding our activities here at the community. We welcome new suggestions! Thank you for your support.
Staff very welcoming. Food and menu choices very good. Residents active with many activities. Rooms too small for my power chair and parking not good for guests.
Response from Renaissance on Peachtree
August 4, 2020Thank you so much for coming to see us! We're so sorry that the space didn't work well for your power chair. We have implemented valet parking for our visitors, as well as an area for visitor parking. Residents who drive have a dedicated parking space in the garage, too. Thanks again and we wish you well!
My mom has been at Renaissance on Peachtree since January 2018 and lives on the Assisted Living floor. She requires help with all aspects of daily living: dressing, using the bathroom, bathing, etc. My dad, who is still able to live alone and care for himself, visits her three days a week and has had a lot of interaction with the Assistant Director and staff. My son, brother, and I visit every week. We are all impressed by the consistent quality of care at and management of this facility. The staff have been wonderful with my mom. They make all the difference in the world! They sincerely and genuinely care for and about all the residents. They are friendly, helpful, competent, and well trained. The food is delicious and the variety of daily and weekly activities is excellent. They even had a Mardi Gras parade (we’re from New Orleans), complete with bead throwing! For my parent’s 64th anniversary, all my dad had to do was ask and they arranged a very special, private dinner for them with white tablecloth, candlelight, wine, steaks, and a private, tableside chef. Everything about Renaissance on Peachtree is first class, from the atrium that looks like a five star hotel, to the hair salon, exercise classes, movies, transportation service, and weekly outings to various places around Atlanta. There is something for everyone here; it doesn’t matter if you’re completely independent or require a good deal of assistance. Each resident is treated with the same level of caring and respect. It’s close to shopping, hospitals, grocery stores, and everything else in the heart of Atlanta, for those who are more mobile. Also, they allow pets—so important to quality of life as we age. Visitor parking is quite limited but they have complimentary valet parking, so it’s never a problem. This is definitely the kind of place you want for your loved one. My family and I would highly recommend Renaissance on Peachtree to anyone looking for an assisted living facility in Atlanta.

August 4, 2020Thank you so much for the kind words. We all adore your mom and are so glad she's here!
This was a nice community, however I did not think it would fit my loved ones needs. I liked the people we met there and they do offer daily activities.

I like that this property is always very well maintained and has a lot of great amenities available to all of the residents. The staff have been wonderful to my mother and have accommodated her needs the best as they can so far. I do wish that some of the residents where not so challenging to socialize with and where more welcoming to my mom.

April 18, 2017Thank you for your positive comments. Your feedback is extremely important to us and we are so happy that your mother is doing well. Please let us know if there is anything we can in the future for your mother. Tami Cumings, Senior VP of Sales
The staff at this community are nice, helpful, friendly and open to making improvements. They listen and take advice well. The food would be a seven or eight on a scale of one to ten. I think they could use a few more servers as sometimes the food is cold when you receive it. There is a new chef that is making some minor improvements and has even asked the resident for their opinions. They have great birthday parties. The community is immaculately clean. They have daily activities and I would recommend this community.

Jarvis has been working diligently to improve the dining experience here at the community. We will continue to work toward making your meal the best that it can be. Again, thank you so much for taking the time to review us!
After we were shown an apartment and saw the size of it, we decided not to choose them. We were looking for a large apartment to fit our needs. The tour went very good and it was fine but it was not best for us.

Everything is going well for my mother at this community. They have really provided me with a peace of mind knowing she is being cared for well. She is doing very well, and has adjusted well to it. This was a good move for her. We feel good with her staying here, she is in good hands.

August 5, 2020Thank you so much for your nice review. I have just learned how to access these, and apologize for not responding to your review earlier. We are happy that you chose the Renaissance for your mother, and look forward to many years of friendship!
The Renaissance on Peachtree is a great community! My mother-in-law loved everything but the food. The food and the service was not that good, we ate there as well and it was terrible. Shondra, the head nurse of assisted living makes the place fabulous!

And we agree, that our Assisted Living is the very best! All of our team members are true Heroes! You were so nice to write a note on our behalf. Thank you.
Posh building with friendly, helpful liaison. Pros: Close to where I live, roomy units, well maintained building, ALF on site, community very active in self-governance. Cons: High rise building, w/ not standard in units, pricey.

August 8, 2020Thank you so much for your review. We appreciate your taking the time to write to us. We're glad to have your loved one with us. Take care~
The friendliness and personal connection at the Renaissance are outstanding. All the staff stop to greet my mother by name as she walks through the halls. The waiters in the dining room are pleasant and very patient. The manager walks around frequently and is open and responsive. In the years my mother has been there she needs more care but still takes part in activities every day. If you walk into the dinner area on any day, you will hear a lively buzz of conversation -- even at tables with people who are very frail. Three nights/week there is a happy hour before dinner and there, also, people enjoy talking with each other, and mixing. The social interaction really makes a difference. I was present when my mother came back from the hospital and she was welcomed so warmly by everybody. Another important service that has been very helpful is arranging for doctor's appointments, including transportation and someone to go with my mother. These arrangements cannot be spontaneous -- they must be planned but they make a big difference. My mother is very happy at the Renaissance and I think they have helped her stay connected.
My wife and I have lived at the Renaissance for over a year. It has been a wonderful experience for us and we are extremely happy in our new home.
This is a big high rise building. They are a very active independent community. It was a nice place. My parents enjoyed it until the need for more care became necessary. If you are independent and active, then this is the place to go.
This is a very fast talking crowd - they promise a lot and deliver virtually nothing. When she first toured and met with the manager, she was promised a driver when she needed it, despite using a wheelchair. She was also promised daily made service and good food. Once she has moved in it was another story. The food and service have deteriorated tremendously since Arbor took over the facility. Maid service is once maybe twice a week and the dinners are worse than being back in college. She is repeatedly denied transportation because she is handicapped. My parent was on the assisted living floor and as others mentioned, it was as if she had been banished.
I toured on three separate occasions. If you are looking for independent living then this is a good option within the city of Atlanta. The assisted living is another story: Your loved one will be banished to the assisted living floors. The sales staff will show you all the great amenities of the building, but fail to mention that assisted living residents don't really have the use of these amenities without the help of a family member. Depressing best describes the assisted living floors and because this is a for profit corporation the staffs hands are tied to think for themselves or the residents. We took this off the list after realizing that the sales staff point blank lied about residents true options.
Loving, active, friendly atmosphere. Beautiful building. Helpful staff.
