If You're a Senior Citizen and You Want Want to Act Like A Senior Citizen Don't Come Here

This has been a good experience for me at Park at Franklin. The staff at the front office is really friendly to work with. There is movie day, popcorn day, trips to the store, exercises classes, live music, and more for activities for the residents to choose from. They even provide a calendar of activities to the residents. The apartment I have is good for me and there is even a terrace on some of the apartments. I don't care for the fact that the staff will just come into your apartment unannounced. There is new management so we will see if this will change.... Read more

Tour experience

When we came for our tour they were in the middle of renovations so it was going to look very nice once they were all done. For us the apartments were too small and it was just not the right fit for what we were looking for.

Everything Isn't What Is Cracked Up To Be

There is something in the building my loved one is in that makes me itch every time I visit. The front desk people can be rude. It is just an okay place for my loved one. They community keeps putting off moving my loved one to the first floor due to them doing a bathroom remodel.

Tour of Park at Franklin

Park at Franklin is a newer facility. My mom is very interested in possibly moving here. It is less money than where she is staying right now and apparently they have some specials coming up in April. So far she is happy with what she has seen/heard about the place. I am just waiting to hear back from them.

tour of Park at Franklin

we briefly saw the outside of Part at Franklin and this place really looked like a dump, we couldn't even tell if there was a lobby. the parking lot was small and unkept. the building looked like old apartments that they decided to turn into an senior living place. we initially scheduled a tour, but the outwardly appearance made us not go inside.

It was worth it

They have an outside nursing agency and it is an additional cost to the rent based off of what needs there are. They are there 24 hours a day and has someone to answer phones and to reach out and check on your loved one. My loved one is only able to eat pureed food and this community was able to accommodate this for my loved one. The staff check on the residents in the morning and see if they need anything. They do laundry every week and they do it separately instead of throwing everything together. They give the residents a calendar with activities that are going on and things for them to do. They have church service on Sundays and a mini movie theater for the residents to go to. They have a hair dresser that comes in a few times a week to do hair and she has cut my loved ones hair, they have bowls and everything to wash the hair.

A great place for mom

This is an awesome community. I would recommend to check it out and go on a tour and you will be pleased with this community. They have activities like movies in the movie theater, the beauty salon, activities room, dinning facility and live entertainment. They also have a deli that residents can come in and get things as well as a convenience store. They also have a lot of people with out reach programs that come in to give information to the residents and offer services.

Our tour experience

Our family had an in person tour and we really liked this community, but it had a lot of floors and we wanted a place where our loved one would not have to worry about different levels.

Good Place Fair Price

There is always something going on activity wise at the community. This is a good place for your loved one. It is safe secure and clean. I would recommend to go buy and check on it. We have had a few minor maintenance issues but they were fixed and did not take long for resolution.

I wouldn't even move my enemy there. I would not suggest it to anyone.

I strongly recommended not to go there. It has changed ownership several times and has really gone downhill. With the change, they seem to have had a big turnover in staff. It's no longer as clean as it used to be, and repairs are no longer done quickly. It's hard to even find someone to help you with anything. They don't follow the care plan outlined in my loved one's contract. For a while, they had a visiting protocol where you had to schedule an appointment and have a negative Covid test. But they never verified the Covid test results, so what's the point in having the protocol if you're not going to follow through with it? They let in a visitor who had Covid, and had they checked and followed their own protocol, that person would not have been allowed in.

Would recommend this community

Unfortunately our loved one was sicker then what we had thought so he was not able to spend more then just a couple hours at the community, but they were wonderful. They were extremely friendly, but our only issues we had is even though he stayed only a couple hours they did not refund us on the 1-month rate we had paid.

My review of Park at Franklin

We toured Park at Franklin and it was a really nice facility. We felt more comfortable going with a smaller place with less residents during covid so that is why we did not choose it.

We were happy with this community until [date removed] when there was a management change. The nursing staff and marketing staff don't communicate and pricing has dramatically increased. depending on your situation you this community might fit your needs.

I would recommend for 65 and over

The director at the community was great, they were wonderful people. The people that are there are very nice and overall it was a nice community. It was a great place, it was set up nicely with an open concept and very accessible to all residents. However the food service at the time was lacking, they would charge you for when you had to pick up your meal, as well as room service. My experience with room service was okay, something was always wrong or missing. My room at the time was what they had available, but it was to small. Only about 550 sq ft.

The dietary department is in need of help

The staff members at the community are very friendly and helpful. They have a pager system that is very hit or miss. If the residents who is in needed of help pushes the button, it may take them up to an hour to come by. Sometimes the pager system does not work so they never come. However when they do come to help, they do a good job. Compared to other places the value seems pretty reasonable.

A place you can rely on!

We have only been able to visit this community twice due to COVID, but from what we have seen it seems pretty clean. The care services are good, and the price for what they have to offer is reasonable. Our loved one has a kitchenette in his apartment, plenty of space for his stuff and he has his own privacy which was very important.

Be careful

I would want others to know when looking into Park at Franklin that I do not think that the staff members here are trained to handle mental health residents, especially with Alzheimer's memory care. I would never recommend this community to anybody.

Overall a good experience

It is usually good. At times it is hard to get people to get back with you to answer questions and address issues. The food is okay. The room sizes and layout of the community is good. Most of the staff is good.
