Reviewing after leaving
As I continue to grieve the loss of my mother last week, I thought I would write a review from the experience she and I went thru over her four month stay. Olive Grove was the 2nd of two stops for my mothers and families hell on earth. Now looking back thru everything that has come to pass my only regret during this unwinnable battle with early onset Alzheimer is that you were not the first and only facility. A lot could be said as I write this and to be completely honest, perhaps I didn't write this not because of the lack of time but so that you didn't become overcrowded and impersonal. The staff to resident is exceptional. On my weekly visit where everyone knew my name you had 1staff per 2residents. You allowed my mom to be alone if she choose but involved her when you could persuade. I can not thank you and your staff enough for making my hell on earth more tolerable. Its a lot easier during that time to know she is taking care of in a way that is as good or better than you would have provided had you not had the responsibilities to prevent you caring for your loved one yourself. they have two sides to there facility. One is assisted where you can come and go as you want and get help with day to day things. The other is Alzheimer and secured. If a potential customer is reading this, my heart goes out to you and I can tell you it will be difficult to find a better place than olive grove. Tour the facility to find where she should start at and rest assured she will be taken care of on a professional level. As my mom would say I leave you with her on words she would say to the head nurse every morning...."I Love You".

Loved one is happy, cared for, and safe!
Everything has worked out very well with our loved ones move to Olive Grove Terrace & Arbors at Olive Grove. We are very pleased with the care that they have provided to my loved one. They have done very well keeping the family updated with her care needs. The community is a little older and more expensive than the new community our loved one was at. However, our loved one is now receiving the best care possible. They offer a very safe community and they provide an ankle bracelet to ensure my loved one does not wander off.

So Far So Good
It's only been 2 1/2 weeks since my sister came here, but so far, my observations and her comments about the operation here have been very good. The place is neat and clean. The staff is great with the residents and my sister says they are very responsive to her calls for assistance (via the pendant or call button). I've met or observed most of the staff for each weekday and weekend shift and they all seem very nice, respectful, and capable. I haven't tasted the food, but my sister seems to enjoy the meals here, and she's gained 4 lbs since being here. I've met a few of the residents and they all seem to like it here (3 of them say they "love it" here (my sister is one of them). If she's happy, I'm happy. I also feel if there was a problem, I could go to the Advisor (Rochelle), the Director of Nursing (Samantha) and/or the Administrator (Donna) and get the problem addressed. A Place For Mom's Kim [removed], was very helpful in providing me with a number of places meeting the criteria I gave her. I checked them all out personally before taking my sister to visit the top 3. She chose Olive Grove Terrace based on our initial interaction with the staff, the ability to get around easily in her wheelchair (Ranch style - 1 level), the room, and most importantly, the care they said they can provide. And, because of their flexibility, it turned out to be affordable. Looks like a good match.

Very attentive staff, and delicious food!
They do a great job here! I'd give them top marks across the board! The staff are very friendly, and very attentive. They're quick to respond if you have any sort of problem, and any issues you bring to them are dealt with quickly!
They also do a great job with the food, they've got a trained culinary chef on staff, and what he prepares has been absolutely fabulous, I've never been disappointed!

Word of Mouth
We chose Olive Grove because it is conveniently located for our family. When we toured the community the staff was really friendly. We had also heard through word of mouth how good of a community it was. The only real concern we have is that they have plenty of activities during the week but they do not seem to have enough on the weekends. It is located in a quiet residential area.
