Hmmm the first two gave me a nursing home vibe, we didn’t see anyone milling around there was a person doing a puzzle. Ugh not a place for mom. \nWe walked into The Meridian at Stone Creek not what we had visited previously. There were residents visiting and enjoying a outdoor space, some in the snack bar and also in the library. \nThe staff were very welcoming which all had been but the atmosphere was different. You walk in and it seems more like a hotel. Mom was excited we were shown several apartments and SHE said “I think I can live here” surprise! Before we left she had picked out a apartment and she was in. We moved her in two weeks ago she’s making new friends she’s loving it. Compared to the other sites that we toured this site by far felt the warmest and most welcoming. The staff is all very nice and goes out of their way to be helpful. The staff have been very caring of my Mom throughout her time there and especially so in the past couple weeks as she has experienced a fairly rapid decline of her physical health and will need to add assisted living services next week. The facility is modern, clean, and well-kept, and the apartments are very comfortable. The food in the dining room is good -- it's not an easy task to prepare quality food for so many people, but they do their best. I feel my mom is comfortable living there and that she is well cared for. Thank you to A Place for Mom for referring us to Meridian at Stone Creek!\n\n3/27/23- I have an addendum to my review since so much has recently changed with my Mom's physical health. I already had a very high opinion of the staff at Meridian, but I wanted to give further accolades to the staff and let them know how grateful we are for all they are doing for my Mom. The executive director, the caregivers, the front desk staff, and all involved have truly done a phenomenal job of helping us navigate this stressful time.
