This use to be a nice place however they cannot keep good staff, staff are on there cell phones or off sitting at a table talking with each other and not attending to residents. While residents are eating there meals numerous times have walked in with no staff to be found a resident could choke and no one would be there. Staff are suppose to help those who can not feed themselves and all they do is walk by and say you need to eat. Alzheimer’s patients do not understand that. Staff are not trained appropriately. Staff do not go the extra step such as brushing ppl hair or cleaning them up after meals. Food is found on there hands and under finger nails. There are many other disgusting things that were found. We were lied to by management and promised many things that never came about. Never will I place someone in this facility again.Reviewed on SeniorAdvisor.com
I am a daughter of a resident in Memory Care at Grand Haven Living Center. My mother has been residing here for the past nine months. Although the Corona 19 virus has added challenges, I have found the staff available to answer questions and concerns that I might have had. They have tried to arrange outdoor visits during the nice weather and set them up inside during the Fall in a safe manner. The Life enrichment team has set up Face Time visits when in person gathering has not been possible. They provide a variety of activities for the residents which has been helpful during the winter months. The caregivers treat my mother with kindness and compassion. I look forward to in person visits when it is safe to do so.Reviewed on SeniorAdvisor.com
Stop by for an improptu visit with Mom, first impression that she like it. Initially she indicated that she would be willing to do a short term visit (2-3 days) to see if she would like it.Reviewed on SeniorAdvisor.com
