I can't say enough about CherryWood Village. It's the most amazing place I've seen. My loved one had pretty severe dementia, and all during Coivid, the care they gave her was just incredible, even during an outbreak in the facility. They were able to keep the Covid cases isolated, and my loved one never contracted it. They provided visits through the window. They made it the best they could, as good as it could possibly be under the circumstances. When she took a turn for the worse, we brought in hospice. So I was able to go in and be with her during that time. I have never seen more compassionate, caring people in my life, taking care of her, trying to feed her. The one thing I felt at all levels from the manager to the staff, is they preserved her dignity all through the dying process and made every accommodation they could. I would have absolutely no reservation recommending CherryWood to anybody who has a family member with impaired memory. Even during Covid, they managed to have activities and kept people engaged and tried to keep them as vibrant as they could. The food was really delicious, and I was impressed with how they presented the food and helped the residents eat. It's a private, family owned business, which makes such a difference compared to the larger corporations we experienced previously. CherryWood has a lot more attention to detail in keeping the residents comfortable and maintaining compassionate staff.... Read more

The staff is very nice. My apartment is very nice and has large bathrooms. I haven't compared Cherrywood Village to other places, but in my situation, it's a little expensive for me.
They wouldn't take my loved one due to medical reasons.
We really liked Cherrywood Village but they had a very long waiting list and we needed something immediately.

Given Covid, there were no activities, and little visitation. But that was outside the control of the community. Overall, the care they proved my loved one was incredibly sensitive to the fact that she had dementia, and was completely non-judgmental. We had been in previous non-memory care communities that viewed dementia behaviors as problematic. As soon as we moved to CherryWood, they were like, "Oh that's just dementia." They were very supportive and did everything they could to meet her where she was.
We chose Cherry Wood Village because my mother walked in and looked around and said I love this place. I talked to the support staff and they were very friendly. The care staff were very diligent and loving. She absolutely loved the food, there was a chef on site who prepared meals. They had 2 dining rooms, one for fancy and the public and one for casual for the residents only. The facility itself was very attractive, it looks almost like an ocean liner inside. It is located a block away from the hospital as well. I would recommend the community.
I like the staff and [name removed] was great and wonderful host. I was impressed with the decor and that classic car was cool. The place is a very secured building but doesn't feel like a jail. The bedroom was a good size and the yard wasn't too big. They do go on field trips which my dad would love.
This is a top notch place! We are very pleases with Cherry wood!
I was referred to them via a hospice chaplain. I was looking for an assisted space for my parents. They start out being kind and courteous and glowing. I got hit with needing to make a quick decision as they warned rents were going up the following day. So we took the apartment. From the get go the staff was unorganized and not helpful. We were hit right away with picky rules of the place being confronted in rude ways. To say the least the whole experience was totally unwelcoming. My mom needed to have someone give her her meds and they missed 2 days saying they had a glitch in their system. It took them a week and a half to get their TV's working with my brother spending hours and hours of his own time on the set up himself. Now we are stuck there and I hope there is some ray of hope at the end of this dark tunnel.
Hello [name removed], +We had a wonderful tour of CherryWood Village, and were very impressed with the facilities. A really lovely retirement community. Now we have to compare it to Miramont Pointe, which we are visiting this coming Friday. Your colleague, [name removed] ( hope I have the right name) told us when we met with her that she thought Miramont Pointe would be great for us....So we'll see..... So that's where we're at with our search so far. We still need to make an appt. for a tour with [removed]. I'lll make those appts. for next week or the week after. Best , [name removed]
My Brother-In-Law seems to be doing very well at this facility. What I really like is they seemed to be very well-staffed and they are professional. For activities they have things like bus trips, an in-house movie theater, and craft classes. When I went to visit him, I saw a bunch of the ladies sitting at a table, helping staff fold laundry. I would recommend this facility to other families.
My mom is getting good care now in this community. I am happy I moved her here. There are lots of activities there when she feels like joining in. Everything stays nice and clean. There is a nice well-maintained courtyard area. The food is good although mom doesn't eat much.
My parents have lived here as independents but now they cannot do as much as they use too outside the facility. They are still very independent but now they rely on Cherrywood to provide activties for them and there are very little for them. Yes the calendar looks full but when you get do to it there is very little to do throughout the day. There are organized exercises for them but not too many other things. There is bible study, bells, band, chess, bridge, and pool but how many people know how to do these things at 84 and no one is there to help organize; you are on your own. Nothing at night except a prayer meeting or a movie. and very little to do on the weekends. This is when seniors need activities the most. they are losing their independents so now the retirement homes need to help provide things for them to socialize and be involved with at a level about assistant living but not completely independent. My hope is this company finds something for these residents. Something involving the floors, to get people involved. Unfortanately my parents are bored now and so I am looking for a facility that can address this need.
This is a good community for mom The staff are caring and attentive. The community is clean. The menu is outstanding. The activities are helpful. We talked with a few of the residents and they seem to be happy with the care and that made us know that mom would like the care of living here. We do recommend this community highly.
We like this community for the good care. Everyone is very nice and helpful. The staff helpful. The community is clean and very nice at all times. The menu is appealing and a lot to choose from. We have liked the meals that we have been able to have with her. I like knowing that she is active with the activities that are offered.
This is a larger nice looking community. The people we met were nice. This community does seem to offer a lot of nice amenities including a pool for the residents and their families to enjoy.
The CherryWood Village is an absolutely incredible and fantastic place to live. We could not be happier with our choice. We thought it was going to be a long process of deciding where to move until we toured this community and knew it was the one. They offer lots of activities that they have posted on weekly and monthly calendars. We've already participated in a recent luau party for the residents. We are still getting settled into our apartment which is exactly perfect for us. We were able to choose the color of paint for the walls and had new carpeting installed. there is a fireplace and the view from our window is beautiful. The residents are very friendly and welcoming. The marketing director suggested to my wife and me to sit at a table for four instead of for two and the next thing we know another couple will ask to join us and we get acquainted and make new friends. We would definitely recommend this community to others.
My parents are doing very well. They are integrating into the community. They are not to thrilled with the food but for the most part it is fine. They have certain times when they can eat. The community recently had an eclipse party and they had set up chairs outside and they seemed really happy. My parents are independent here but we wanted a place when assistance is option we won't have to move them again. My dad need to move the computer desk around and some guys helped him and he was pleased with that and he tried to give them a tip but they stuck to the rules and did not accept it. However he was told he can contribute to a pot that is dispense around Christmas for the helpers. All the staff are very helpful when it is needed. The toilets are low but it does have railings to help out but a taller toilet would be more suitable for the residents. Their room is right off the elevator and it is very convenient. I like that the community is near the hospital. However, the traffic can get a little noisy.
My parents are both currently living in this community and I can't say enough great things about the staff and the quality of care they have provided them. They are absolutely excellent to them both and are always so caring in there work. I liked that the effort is unforced and they are all very well trained. All of the nurses and the administrative team have made sure to keep in good contact with me about all of there care as well as answer any questions I have for them. Overall I am very pleased with the experience and am thankful for the staff they have.
My husband was only at this community for a short period of time and honestly it did not go very well. They did not have enough staff and they never had the same person going to care for my husband so he was not comfortable with anyone. I would have to go in the early morning to care for him as well as the evening. It just was not the right fit for him and I ended up moving him back home.
