I would recommend Social at Vinings, it is a great place for your older parents in need

The staff members in the kitchen are not that friendly, and sometimes they can be dismissive. The food is a C at best. The rooms they provide the residents are lovely, they would be a five out of five.... Read more

I would recommend

We chose The Social at the time because it was the best one for the cost at the time we were looking. I do think they need to have healthier options for the residents here. It is a small facility. Everyone is very welcoming and friendly, and the staff communicate with family well. It is a pretty nice facility, and things are going good here for us.

Thank you so much for the review. We love what we do every day and are grateful for those older adults who call our community home. We appreciate the feedback on the dining options. We have an in-house chef who prepares a variety of nutritious and delicious meals for all different dietary needs that warm both the belly and soul. Please feel free to reach out to me directly so we can discuss additional options that would best suit your loved one. Thank you, Jodie Taylor Community President

Beautifully Appointed, Management is Fantastic, But Direct Care Is Lacking

I would recommend that you make sure that your loved one is placed in the right program. If your loved one has memory care issues, I would recommend they go into the memory care unit. The memory care unit is more expensive. The food served had generous portions, along with cookies.

Great Customer Service

I am one of the vendors (Hospice) that services The Social. All the employees and leaders have always communicated appropriately regarding the residents we serve. The community is freindly and provides great customer service to their staff, redidents/families and vendors. I would recommend The Social to a family memeber.

The Social At Vinings

The community is always extremely clean. One of the biggest things for me is that during the Covid-19 pandemic, The Social At Vinings has done a great job taking all the necessary steps to keep the residents and staff safe. The staff is good about taking calls no matter what time of day or night. They are always very pleasant and helpful and we have never had any issues with the staff. They do offer activities for the residents to participate in and my aunt does seem to enjoy them. We looked at a number of communities and The Social At Vinings is very well kept, the rooms are nice, everything is in good working order, and the food is great. For the price, we do think we are getting a great value here.

Horrible Place

This is a terrible facility. The Executive Director is a joke. Please do not let your loved ones live here.

Hey there! Thank you so much for the review of your experience. I wanted to share with you that as of October 2019 Thrive Senior Living is the new operator of the community-- we even have a whole new name (the Social at Vinings). We would love to share with you how we are changing both the hardware (physical building) and the software (culture, human experience) within our community. We'd love for you to come by and meet our new President and team!

Very nice place with good services and staff. However, its location is not ideal for our family, so we will not choose here.

Nice place and staff, but the apartment was small for my mom since she is coming from a one level ranch home (approx 1600 with a basement), even with the studio/1 bedroom combination. Not our first choice. Loved the activity options and community areas.

January 23, 2020

Hello! Thank you so much for your feedback, we greatly appreciate it! We highly encourage our residents to utilize not just their private living space but all of the active life areas around the community-- the whole place is their home! We have several floorplan options apart from our standard studio and one bedroom. We have changed our name and operator since you were last in and would love for you to stop by and meet the new team and hear all about the wonderful changes and opportunities that are happening here!

Wonderful People, Institutional Feel

I toured here, and loved the community as a whole. The people were wonderful, and the assisted living portion was nice. However, The memory care unit, where my loved one would be had we moved there, was depressing to me. It seemed dark and very institutional. Brookdale was also a little farther away than I was hoping to travel.

Hello there! Awesome feedback-- we love it! I have some big news to share.... our community is now operated by Thrive Senior Living; we even changed our community name to the Social at Vinings! With us, everything is resident led, including renovations! We'd love to have you stop by again, meeting the new team, and hear all about what we are doing here at the Social to enrich our residents' lives!

-like the physical appearance -like the extensive social programs -like the apartments; studio -like the location- close to 121 ***Concerned about overall price point I've followed up to ask about care costs (were not included in material) and trying to coordinate a nurse visit to assess Mom's current capabilities - this will pin down the overall price point.

We looked at this community after a recommendation and found it to be very affordable! The community is wonderful! They have plenty of activities. The best thing of all is that I am out of state but the staff here is so friendly and easy to talk with there is even a member of the staff who takes the time to send me photos of my mother painting, going out to lunch or whatever she may choose to do in a day!
