Celebration Villa of Teays Valley in Hurricane, West Virginia, is proud to provide high-quality assisted living and memory care services in a picturesque community. Residents at Celebration Villa of Teays Valley can expect to receive assistance with their activities of daily living. Community specialists come on-site to provide ancillary services as needed. All residents live in either a studio or semi-private living suite, complete with amenities for safety and comfort.
At Celebration Villa of Teays Valley, residents are served three meals a day in the spacious and sunlit community dining room. Poor experience
We have since removed her from this facility.
The staff is nice but several times we went and they were all sitting in the common area and my mother in law was sitting soiled or had dirty clothes on. I can certainly understand this happening every now and then but it was almost every time.

Celebration Villa of Teays Valley review
Our loved one first started out on the Assisted Living section and that was great in every way. Even though the assisted living section was very nice, I will never recommend them because most residents progress to memory care and moving them to a new facility is too difficult.

Horrible Place
The air conditioning did not work in the patient rooms while my loved one was staying there. An employee informed me that it wasn't a recent issue, (that it hasn't worked in the past year), although you could go into the director's office, and it was nice and cool.
Remodeling was taking place with fumes from the glue being used so strong you could not breathe. Patients were forced into common areas and told to stay there all day. My loved one was found sitting in a wheelchair and soaked clear through her clothing.
The rooms were not properly cleaned. When moving my loved one out of the facility, the dust, dead bugs, and general filth was horrible under the bed and behind the furniture. I will assume housekeeping never moved anything to vacuum.
And lastly, my loved one was a very malnourished 83 pounds when I moved her out of that place. According to her the food was nasty and not edible.

A very good place for care
The staff at Celebration Villa of Teays Valley are wonderful. Especially [name removed], the main nurse. And [name removed] who works very closely with a lot of the wheelchaired folks. Their activities are wonderful. The staff works hard to make things go well -- example: the picnics, the Halloween holidays, the Thanksgiving dinner, the indoor carnival that they organized, etc. They are renovating a lot of areas, so that's good. All new furniture was a good move. It's a little bit expensive, but about normal compared to others in the area.

Daily staff is great but the business staff not so much.
The staff interacting directly with residents are doing a great job considering they are not paid well and not trained enough. The staff dealing with the business/financial side are not as caring/understanding. During my career I was a business manager and understand there is a fine line dealing with making money vs. making employees and residents happy. I was not happy with the business end at Celebration Villa.

Our family had an in person tour and we thought it was a really nice tour. All of the staff members we met with were super nice and the lady who gave us the tour was super friendly. They did have a fireplace there that we really liked, however the main differences for us were the rooms were a little smaller and the community just felt a little dark.

Staff is friendly
They do great with the activities and she loves the food. There have been some concerns on whether they are making sure she is cleaned up daily and clothes changed. We have been up quite a few times and she has had the same clothes on 4 days in a row. The staff is very friendly.

I celebrate Celebration Villa
We are very happy with Celebration Villa of Teays Valley, we were looking for a place that had life and happiness and we found that here.
The facility is well staffed. They are very responsive when my aunt needs help and pushes her button that she wears. If she does not want to eat in the dining room they will bring the food to the residents so they are very accommodating. They play a lot of fun games and have some great activities provided, for example one day I was leaving and they were playing old western trivia. They have a movie room with a big popcorn machine. I have eaten here a couple and think the food is wonderful. She has made some friends as well. The facility itself is beautiful, they have a double fireplace and fish aquarium. The dining room is beautiful as well. I like that they have 7 levels of care for assisted living. They evaluate the residents periodically, and once they pass level 7, that is when they move to memory care. They are very thorough and detailed in their evaluations.
I would absolutely recommend Celebration Villa without a doubt. If I ever needed to go somewhere, I want to go here.

We have had wonderful experiences at Celebration Villa. Mom had a hard time at first, and they took the time to get her extra care and help her during this time and make her comfortable. We are extremely pleased with the care she receives.
