A positive experience Donna - Child of resident/client
We chose Celebration Villa because the price was better than some others that we looked into. The staff were friendly and they really tried their best to get mom out of bed while she was here and out and about. She was here for respite and it gave us peace of mind while we were away knowing she was taken care of. I would recommend them to others.
No one really wants to leave their home, but when you need the extra care, this is the place to be. Shelly - Loved one of resident/client
The facility itself is an older facility and could probably use an update. But with what they have to work with, I feel like it's kept clean and used well. There's a nice big fireplace when you first walk in the lobby. One of the things that struck me when I first toured and has shown to be true after my loved one moved in is everybody seems to be truly living here, instead of just sitting there waiting to die. There's life and laughter and activities. And that's exactly the type of environment I wanted for my loved one. The staff are really good with her as well. I don't have any complaints. She tells me she loves the food, and she can be pretty picky. The activities guy is awesome. He keeps the residents busy and engaged. They've been on lockdown a little with Covid, but I've been well pleased. I think it's a good value. It's expensive, but unlike other places, they keep the residents busy. They're really sweet and attentive with the patients and know everybody by name. They're in the process of new ownership, so I hope everything stays the same. Communication has been good up to this point.
Overall it is a good experience, but the cleanliness on the memory unit needs improvement anonymous - Sibling of resident/client
The community itself is very clean, however on the memory care side there is a horrendous smell of urine. Our loved one isn't the biggest fan of the meals but they are eating regardless. The activities on the memory care side are a little limited, but we do think the value for cost is pretty good.
Feels like family and they have genuine concern Linda Weikle - Loved one of resident/client
What stuck out to us about this facility was when we we walked in here it felt homey and not institutional and we really liked how they interacted with her. I felt comfortable and knew that she would feel at home. The best part about this community so far has been the personalized treatment, they have come to love her and treat her like family. I cannot say enough good about Elmcroft and I would highly recommend to others.

All these ratings are based on COVID.
My loved one likes the community, and they would recommend this community for friends. Elmcroft doesn't have an institutional feel, it feels like home. Everyone has been friendly.
Once COVID is over they a kitchen where they can request food. This allows the residents to order food they would like.
They are offering virtual visits for the families and their loved ones.
This community has done their upmost care to make sure COVID doesn't get in to the community. There hasn't been any breakouts. There have been two cases, but because of their testing, it didn't get into the community. They are sending an email to let us know what is going on in the community. This allows us to keep up-to-date with what the restrictions are in the community, and what stage they are in for reopening.
It is stress free living anonymous - Resident/client
The room sizes are good, I have a nice large unit. I like the layout of the community. I like that I am no longer alone. They have a great activities director. The food is not what I expected. The staff is great. I am stress free now at Elmcroft.
As good as most, I suppose...

Overall, this place is as good as most others, I think. However, there are a few ways they could improve. We have had not-so-good experiences in the dining room. (For instance, not giving my mother her food and when we asked about it, the girl saying she had eaten and they had cleared her plate. We were there; we knew better!). There is definitely room for improvement there.
My mother needs a lot of care. I wish there could be more one-on-one in that regard. And quicker response. Of course, that would mean hiring more people. Wouldn't it be great if there were volunteers who could spend time with those who can't get around or help themselves???!!! I live out of state and only get to visit about three times a year.
