We would recommend this community

Cardinal Senior Living is very clean, we do feel they are under staffed. Since COVID we haven't really had the chance to go into the facility or visit. Compared to most places, this facility was pretty good priced. They have tried to keep the residents apart and social distance. Sometimes they do let the residents play corn hole. The first room she was in was very small, but the room she is in now is acceptable.

Not Recommend

We chose this community because of the cost. The bathrooms were down the hall and a lot of the time some of them didn't work. That was challenging especially with people in wheelchairs. The bars in the bathrooms were not safe. There was a water leak and black mold formed on some of the doors. They also do not accept medicaid. They were understaffed a lot of the time and people had to stay two shifts. The food was good and the person in charge of the kitchen was very attentive and please the clients. I would not recommend this community.

Cardinal Senior Living

When my mother moved to a bigger room, they took too long to transfer some of her services. She likes being there but it seems like some smaller issues end up turning into bigger issues, which might be a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. The staff seems to take care of my mom very well. They normally offer activities like off-community trips and corn hole and such. Sometimes they do seem a little understaffed. Definitely a good value for the care they are offering.

Cardinal Senior Living

It has been ok. They have had a problem with a few of the community bathrooms. They also had a leak happen and we didn't feel it was properly taken care of. The woman who is in charge of the kitchen is excellent. She is really caring and really tries to meet the residents' needs on a meal by meal basis. They did have care team meetings every three months that allowed us to get a better idea of the care that was being provided.

It was wonderful. My son went with me and he said that he could even move in there. We enjoyed the pleasant people who worked in the facility and had a good meeting with [name removed]. I took my husband in this morning, [date removed], to tour the facility. He said "it would do for two weeks." [Name removed] did his assessment and we decided that he fit into the assistant living category rather than memory care. We decided that the best situation for him was a single room with bath. I will go back in the morning to fill out the paperwork and make the deposit. The best part - it is only five minutes from our house!

Clean and pleasant, but not as cozy as others I've toured. Memory Care opportunities offered were good, just couldn't get past the "nursing home" look.
