The staff is very friendly and efficient. I really like the community. The food is good and they really keep the community neat and very clean. I would recommend this community to others based on my experience.
This property, although one story, was aged and in a location that would not appeal to my mom (across from a water treatment plant and water tower). The units were not priced competitively even with a college alumni discount.

We deeply regret that we were unable to meet all of your expectations. We want to thank you for your feedback and please know it will be reviewed and used to better serve our residents and their families in the future.
The community is small and homey feeling. Communication is good between the staff and our family. They keep us well informed and up to date. I would recommend this community to others based on my experence
Our family was able to do a virtual tour and we had a good experience. The communication was great and there were no gray areas.
Front lobby carpet a little dirty & a little stain - [name removed] was very informative - answered all questions with any worries. Very professional & showed us a residents room - very lovely - No smell - residents that we saw seemed content - we saw several professionals come & out during our tour of the building. [name removed] gave us pricing on additional services that we mostly likely will need as well as heads on tb testing & State requirements to be admitted to Assisted Living. Depending on the care that we will need, this will be high on the list of considerations
Brookdale Watauga is worth checking out. It is a smaller community and your loved one will get more individualized care. The Director was a nurse at a different community, and I can tell she cares about the residents and their needs.
The community is immaculate and I have been impressed I believe that the care is top notch. They take time to care for the residents. They take care of her when i am working and I know that she is safe. At the moment, they keep in touch and inform me of changing needs and costs involved. Financially it's challenging because it's expensive there but it is well worth w it. You do get a lot of bang for the buck. I chose this for location and the immediate availability. My mom has meet some friends, which is good for her and she is happy.
Everything about Brookdale Watauga is top shelf. Staff, apartment, dining, and staff attention to detail are all excellent. It was Dad’s decision, at age 99 and still very active and alert, to select his new home. Transitions at this time in life can be awkward and Dad has certainly been challenged, but everyone at Brookdale has gone up and above to make sure each day is enjoyable and comfortable.
Brookdale Watauga is our choice after touring several places in our area. Everyone is very friendly, the apartments are the largest of the toured places, and they are worth the price.
Dad is still adjusting to living at this community. The staff have been helpful. The community is clean and the grounds are nice. The food is ok, however they do not offer a lot of variety. We like that this community is close to family.
We toured this community for care. We were very happy with the nice staff and the cleanliness of this community. The menu and the activities would have been helpful for her to participate. The menu had a list of healthy meals. We liked the ground that was clean. We wanted a closer community to home. We would recommend this community to other families.
I toured this community for the care of care of my mom. The staff were very nice and answered my questions. They had a wonderful director of activities. The informed me on the variety of meals that are offered. I like the community that appeared to be clean and well taken care of. I would recommend this community to other families.
This was not a good fit for mom.
My mom is at Brookdale. She is having a hard time adjusting because its a new place. They keep up with her medicine. However, My mom feels that some of the staff is unprofessional and uneducated.
We are still early in the process of this situation, but so far, we have mixed feelings. The staff are all very friendly, and engaging with my loved one! However, for Memory Care residents, there are things that cause anxiety, and we are still trying to iron out the details, and see if they can provide that level of care that we needed. Everything here is good, and we are just trying to take care of small issues. All of the other areas are really good, though!
We toured this facility when we were looking into care options for our loved one. This was a great looking facility, and everyone here was very friendly. Unfortunately it was out of the price range that we were looking in, but it is definitely worth a look.
We really liked Sterling House of Watuaga, the proximity of it was very close to our home. The staff was great they were very friendly and helpful. They have a lot of activities to keep the residents busy. They also offer a lot of amenities. Our loved one likes it so much that when we came to pick them up, they chose to just stay there. We are very pleased with them and would recommend them to anyone.
Dropped in unanounced and got a great tour with Mary Roberts. So far this has been the highest cost but the most impressive facility. Staff was very friendly - We got there about an hour before a Valentine party and the place was buzzing with activity. The residence were very friendly and waking the halls. Rooms were designed well.Facility was extremely clean and smelled great. Staff was everywhere - at least 8 were in the kitchen area serving and cooking. 2 or 3 more were setting up a party table and musicians were setting up in the lobby.
Very nice and clean facility with no odors. The Marketing director showed us around. Lots of people out and about Saturday morning. Liked the room layouts.
The director was very nice and helpful to talk to.
