Life feels easy at our verdant community in Smithfield, North Carolina. Take a stroll along our lushly landscaped walking paths, or rock gently in one of the traditionally-styled chairs that line our front porch. We’ve designed our Brookdale Smithfield campus to be comfortable and yet have everything you need to feel joy every day,

Our community offers assisted living and memory care for those with Alzheimer’s or dementia, and residents all have access to our resort-style amenities and personalized care. Life is meant for living, and our campus and staff offer it all.

A typical day at our community can include activities such as:
•Pet visits for nuzzles and cuddles
•Excursions into town for shopping and dining
•Gentle exercise in a signature B-Fit fitness class
•Bingo with friends
•Learning crafts in the on-site art studio
•Crossword puzzles on the front porch
•Reading the day’s news by the fire
•Strolling along landscaped walking paths

Our community offers spacious suites as well as two-bedroom apartments, and residents can enjoy private bathrooms, spacious closets and well-appointed kitchenettes. And with both assisted living and memory care, plans are customized to you or your loved one’s needs, so you only pay for what you receive.

Once you and your loved one arrive, we’ll tailor a plan that’s just right. If you only need a little help with tasks like personal grooming and taking medications, or if your loved one takes part in our Clare Bridge Memory Care program, we’ll make sure you receive the gentle guidance you need.

Assisted living residents are encouraged to live as independently as possible, whereas the Clare Bridge Daily Path for memory care residents offers a more structured routine designed to help foster familiarity and maintain current skills and abilities. All levels of care have access to specialized (and delicious!) dining options, an abundance of activities to promote socialization, wellness, and growth, and staff available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to be alerted to an emergency.

They seemed to keep the community clean and I never noticed any areas that were not well maintained. The staff was always very nice to my mother. The care was also very good as were the activities. Compared to other communities in the area, they were definitely worth the price.

A very nice place, however we didn't feel there was nearly enough attention payed to my loved one or his care. We also had hospice come in to give him a bath a couple times a week, and Brookdale wanted to charge us for the bath, even though they were not involved at all in the process. They wouldn't even wake him up to go to breakfast. We moved him from Brookdale because of this. We moved him before the 30 days were up on his lease and we were told we would get the entire sum of his community fee back, however we never received it.

  • My tour

This looked like a nice clean community when we visited. This community does allow pets and they offer daily activities. This community was nice, however I did not think it was the right fit for us.
