I would like to see the food improve and more seasoning used. The community is neat and clean and the staff is very friendly. The also have activities for the residents to participate in. I would recommend this community if your loved one is mobile.
The community took the precautions of the pandemic seriously. They were flexible and understanding while working with my client. They allowed my client to move in during the pandemic lock down. This allowed my client to do what they needed to do to make a for an easy transition.
Overall it's a good place. My loved one has no complaints really. The only complaint she's voiced to me has been about the food. Sometimes it's too spicy for her. But everybody is really friendly there. Every time I've been there the place has always been clean. I've been in the laundry room, the snack area, so forth and so on. My loved one says folks come in every two weeks and vacuum and do a light dusting, things of that nature. They keep the lawn and the grounds maintained pretty well. I'd definitely recommend it to other people.
This is a great place for independent living who may need some in home care. [name removed] was great on the tour and answering questions.
I rate Brookdale pretty highly. It's good for my needs, everything is really accessible for me. The living space is suitable, and has hand rails that I utilize. They take great safety precautions here. Right now we're limited because of Covid. My understanding was that I'd get a lot more things included, but it's a difficult time right now.
Our loved one at the community really likes the activities, he loves the staff members there. He wants to stay he does not want to move anywhere else.
Due to covid there are not as many activities as we would like, however we do think it is a very good value for the cost. We would recommend the Brookdale Charlotte East community to others.
The community had amenities that I didn't need. The fee here was higher for me. This community does have a dining room. Brookdale East has buses available to take residents to grocery shopping, doctor appointments, and more. The community fixes three meals a day for the residents that don't have a way to cook their own food.
When my 85 year old father who was widowed for 4 years told us he was ready to move from his 2 bedroom apartment independently living to a community , we were elated. We knew with his need for transportation to appointments as he doesn’t drive anymore ( closest family is 1 hr. away) and the need for him to eat healthier home cooked meals was a priority . Also the socialization he loves. I live in NH and I have had such great piece of mind since dad moved here November 2019. He has his own independent studio apartment . Everyone is so kind and loving here. Should he ever need assisted living , there is that available here also. I’ve visited and this place smells clean and is immaculate! He has a physical therapy/fitness room for access anytime as he still loves to ride the bike. There is a laundry room on site for him to do his own laundry giving him the luxury for staying independent! I talk to him every night and the joy in his voice sharing all the happenings of the day is priceless! He loves the good and trying new foods he never thought he would! I can’t say enough good things about Brookdale Charlotte East, and in this time of the Pandemic, this community has made every attempt to keep all the residences safe and healthy while always following the CDC and World Health recommendations!
When first looking at facilities we were looking for meals and housekeeping to be provided. The meals are lighter on the weekends and mom has a kitchen to fill in any meals if she desires. Housekeeping is provided every other week and is very good. There are plenty of activities to choose from and transportation for local stores and healthcare. Mom has taken advantage of visiting physician services from MD2U Overall this has been a good move for mom and she is enjoying her new friends and apartment.
While the facility was dated, I felt like the staff was very engaging. They were very honest about employee satisfaction. I liked that they base their staff ratios on acuity rather than census. I also liked that they employed CNAs and Med Techs. The facility was clean, but smelled like a nursing home which was bothersome. The rooms were a great size and I was impressed with all of the safety call buttons. I also liked that the residents had a mini fridge and microwave provided in their room.
My tour went well. The bird sanctuary and the gated property were very good. I enjoyed visiting and have it on our list of places to consider.
The staff and residents were fantastic. We decided the cost was a little more than we can afford so are looking at apartments without meal plans.
I enjoyed my visit to Brookdale. Ty, the sales representative, was very friendly and informative. The size of the apartments was adequate, with functional amenities. Halls were clean and smelled very nice. Passerbyers were even friendly. I felt very comfortable there. This facility might be a match for my Mom. I can't wait to introduce it to her, as an option for her transition.
This looked like a nice community when I visited. The person that took us on tour was nice. This is a gated community with paved walking trails. They offer transportation and they seem to offer some nice activities. This community did not have an opening when we visited.
Received confirmation of tour date and time, but the manager did not show up. He still had not arrived nor called to explain his absence when I left. The very pleasant activities leader who did walk us around was not able to answer many questions with a level of certainty. There also appears to be a new school being built across the street from the entrance. That will bring much bus and car traffic to what is now a quiet road.
We are extremely impressed with the level of care and concern the entire staff at Brookdale Charlotte East has shown. Truly caring individuals who obviously have the residents best interest at heart.
Lovely, low key home. Nothing fancy but well maintained. Nice, spacious apartments with balconies or patios for each and an amazing amount of storage space and good pricing.I really enjoyed talking to [Removed] and I feel this may be the best option for my husband.
The staff are wonderful and helpful. The food is not consistent when it comes to taste as sometimes it is good and sometimes it is not. They offer plenty of activities. The community is clean and well maintained. This community has a family atmosphere and I would recommend it.
we are doing fine since moving in 8 days ago, just at the tail-end of the cold that went around, we got less done with moving in. They took precaution and have us wearing masks. The staff have been helpful and cooperative. The people we have met have been fun and we look forward to meeting more in the future. Slowly we are making progress, we have lots of boxes and pictures to hang. The staff are willing to help hang the pictures for us. All worked out fine and we are pleased. it is an easy 3 stars and I am hoping to see the 5 stars.
