What our family likes the most about the Brookdale Canyon Lakes is the overall friendliness of the staff members, the different activities they have going on, and the food that they serve. I would absolutely recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had so far. Broodkale Canyon Lakes independent living provides very complete services. Meals are quite good, and the facility is modern. Everything works almost all the time.

Beautiful place
Brookdale at Canyon Lakes is great place for our Mom. The staff is great. The people living there have been great. They have musicians come in almost weekly. They have activities going all the time. The grounds are gorgeous. The allowed our Mom to have her dog as well. The cafe is great and the building is clean and in good order. Moms doctor even comes to her apartment. When we first visited Brookdale after visiting several other senior living places in the Tri Cities we knew this was the right place for Mom. Mom really likes it there.

I really loved Brookdale Canyon Lakes. It was my first choice of all the places we toured. But my mom had a better feeling about another place. I liked Brookdale because it had more options as far as living goes. And I thought it was a good value.

Our experience with Brookdale
We chose Brookdale Canyon Lakes because mom actually lived in the independent living section for quite a while. We moved her out due to covid and then moved her back in. She likes the familiarity of it. She has a studio apartment and it is a nice size, they do also have all different sizes as well and I think they are a good value for the money. The staff have been awesome, they are struggling with not having enough workers right now but it seems to be getting better. The director [name removed] is awesome but the financial person we have had issues with. It is a fight to get our bills figured out. I would recommend to others who are looking as long as they are able to accommodate your needs.

It is a nice, clean, friendly community. The staff seems very helpful to the family and the residents.
They helped get my loved one settled into the community.

The right choice
They are amazing. They knew how to be proactive and immediately protected from COVID. They are paying attention to the medical and physical side of things without losing sight of the importance of the emotional , social, and engagement side of thing. The food varies, in healthy, and there are options. We have zoom meetings every two weeks for families, residents, and staff for community update and our input and ideas. The communication is excellent. When I need a place one day for myself, I plan to go there.

Steal money from dead people
Horrible business practices. Billed resident’s bank account 2 weeks AFTER he died, and won’t return the full amount they stole. Won’t respond to inquiries re: status of full amount to be reimbursed. Hard enough to lose a loved one but these guys seem to capitalize on that and assume you won’t notice due to grief if they continue to take money. Bad people there sanctioning this activity. Beware of this facility and company .

We were extremely impressed with the community as well as the staff. It truly had a community feel to it. It was an extremely active community with very friendly residents who were happy to speak with us as we toured the facility. It seemed to have a unique philosophy about elder care/living. But the real gem is [name removed] their sales representative and former activities director who is a phenomenal advocate for each of the residents. He was very caring and respectful with my father.

Not For Us
We did not pick them for some reason. The cost was more a month to live here and it was more older and it looked run down. However, everyone was nice n the residents were happy living here. They very accommodating during the tour.

CHECK THIS PLACE OUT!!!!
GREAT COMMUNITY!
The building is beautiful and clean, the grounds have walk ways around beautiful ponds with fish and turtles.
Staff are friendly and helpful and will easily stop what they are doing to help you find your way or answer a question.
The Nursing staff is on top of things, very helpful and you can tell they really care and love what they do.

Not very impressed with this place!!
I was not very impressed with this tour and the experience I had at this community. The staff was a little difficult to communicate with and did not show us what we had requested. I had asked to see certain things and they showed me the exact opposite. I just was a little confused on the way they went about things.

I was very impressed with most everything. the people were exceptional, the building was clean. the only drawback is the slow elevator in the main building and the need for updates in the cottages. a few minor things like the wood color and style is old and outdated but still serves a purpose. Great tour of facility!!
I was very happy with the kind of welcoming my loved one and I received from the staff at this community. The administration was very knowledgeable about there facility and was sure to answer any questions in detail my mother and I had for them. Overall I have no complaints about this place and would defiantly recommend it to anyone.
