Would not recommend this community

The individuals in charge of the activities are very friendly, however the medical staff, nursing staff and nurses aids were not friendly. During COVID the people who delivered food to the residents room were horrendous. Also due to COVID there were not activities. The food quality was a huge issue at this community, not only with our loved one but with the other residents living there as well. The food quality was horrible, our loved one would take pictures, send them to us and you would never want to eat it. The protein they served was unrecognizable. Our loved one is diabetic and she would be served all types of food and drinks that had a lot of sugar. She would receive muffins and shortcakes every week. We spoke with the director and we would send them lists of things she can and cannot eat multiple times and it was never consistent. Every thing they did for our loved one or offered to do was at an additional expense. she had a fall in the shower, and this community called us letting us know they could have someone stay in the room while she showered for extra money. Every service that was provided had an additional cost, they nickle and dimed everything

What a Great Place to Be

It is such a great place, you should sign up tomorrow! They did absolutely everything they could for my dad. The staff even sat with him through the night. My dad was a restaurant owned and so he is really picky about food, but he said the food was just phenomenal. The staff went over and above what was required of them and just went completely beyond to help my dad. The staff at Brookdale are so gracious!

The place seemed really nice and the staff was warm and welcoming, there were not many residents out and about and that was a concern. It could have been the time of day or that they had all just been out for an activity and retired to their rooms to get ready for dinner, but that was something that we noticed. We like to get back for a meal with my parents.
