We have had a very good experience with Bridges of Bent Creek. They do a wonderful job with keeping us informed and the staff works really hard, they did an amazing job during covid and did not have the volume of cases that other facilities had in the area. They have a new memory care director and she has been wonderful and so helpful. If she needs anything or if there are any questions, they call right away and they are very responsive if we ever call for anything. They did just hire a new activity director, she is very energetic and has a lot of fun ideas. They have been able to get my mother in law out and participating in some activities which has been great. Each and every staff member we have talked to has been very polite, kind, and helpful. We are very happy with Bridges of Bent creek and we know that she is safe and would not want her to be anywhere else. I would definitely recommend them to others who are looking.
We chose Bridges of Bent Creek because it was recommended and when I checked into them they were half the price of other places. They do a great job here, none of their residents ended up with covid. They made a lot of accommodations so we could visit with our loved one. They took great care of my mom and she had around the clock care. Her last few days here some of the nurses who had the day off came to sit with her and when she passed they sent us beautiful flowers for their condolences. We could not have asked for a better place and I would highly recommend them.
Bridges has had a tremendous amount of staff turnover in the last year. And it has resulted in a decline in their ability to care for patients. This is all in the backdrop of Covid, so you have to take it in that vein. But there was no staff training on how to care for and properly use necessary medical devices. There seems to be very little communication between direct care providers and more skilled nursing staff. I will say that the activities department did a particularly good job during Covid of trying to create opportunities when social distancing was necessary. And as soon as everyone was fully vaccinated, they started offering a lot more activities. So that's been good.
Have your eyes wide open, I feel the community is misleading and their heart is not in the right place. The community does not want to help when you move in. I would not recommend this community to others.
The community was kept really clean, and the value was good.
We chose Bridges of Bent Creek because of the sizes of the rooms, there a lot of was a lot of square footage for the price as well as the proximity to where she lived so friends could visit her. She was only here a short time but had a good experience and we would recommend to others.
Pre COVID i would give this community a five out of five stars, but at the current time i would have to give it a one out of five stars. ONe thing that really stood out to us and that was very important to us was that it had an in house rehab which my father need, they also had all the other care services he needed. Our issue with this community is that they have not increased their prices but have no offered anything new, there are no activities, no entertainment, and no eating in the dining hall. The residents have to stay in their rooms. However, this community has managed to keep everyone COVID free, there has not been one confirmed case there. This is a newer facility, very modern looking. The rooms are all adequate in size. The food is pretty good, our loved one is fairly happy with it.
My loved one has someone come in and clean their room. This is an older community and it is very nice. My loved one doesn't participate in a lot of activities, but the community has tried to get him to go to activities. They have a locked unit for those individuals who do wonder. Most residents are not able to visit their loved ones. Luckily my loved one has been very receptive to the care needed at the this community.
loved this place. The room for mom was small but the rehab and therapy on site was a huge plus.
My mother recently moved from the Garden to the senior living side, she had done so well and others felt , too, that she did not belong in The Garden side. Now, she could use a little more assistance, She doesn't know where to go or what to do after her meal times, She is also have trouble putting her key in the door, I am going to suggest maybe black marker or finger nail polish on the side up of the key she is to put in the door, Also, she needs to be taken to the bathroom more, she had several UTI's while she was in the Garden and of course, this caused terrible confusion.
