We toured Bradford Place when searching for Assisted Living for my loved one. This facility was my loved one's top choice, but after the tour I decided that I did NOT want her there. Mainly due to the lack of compassion from the director.
I think the standout would be the opportunity for socializing and the rehab program. My loved one has made new friends and his physical condition has improved dramatically.

We really like how clean the community is and how extremely friendly the staff members are.
I am the daughter of one of the residents. Our mother always seems happy and excited when we visit. She loves to give hugs and participate in the offered activities, with Music being her favorite. The Activities Director will take and share pictures capturing those special moments for my siblings and I to see. The staff are friendly and share with me how sweet our mother is. It's refreshing to know she receives the support she needs.

Bradford Place was our second choice. It cost about the same as the place we chose, but the interior was darker than we liked.
I have already recommend the community to others for their loved ones. The staff are very caring and accommodating to the residents and the family's requests. The staff communication with the staff was very good. They provided phone numbers to call and text. The staff tried to engage my loved one in the activities.

While our loved one was there, we had a wonderful experience. The staff members there were great and always communicated with our family. They constantly checked in on our loved one, and would just call our family to check in on us. They were just top notch people with top notch communication.

I say very seriously that I would be very cautious and really look it over before you get involved. I would recommend that you ask a lot of questions about the room assistants and their qualifications. I would say watch out for them following through in administering meds correctly. Overall, there is a huge, huge lack of communication in the facility, even when it comes to something simple like bringing a meal in. I feel like I'm always stepping backwards instead of stepping forward in their care of my loved one. It's been frustrating, and I wish I could afford to place him in a different facility. I have to be in there and be on the ball a lot to make sure that things are done. I recognize the hiring challenges they're facing, but I still expect better.

Everyone I have worked with so far have been helpful and friendly. They have gone above and beyond when assisting in the care of my loved one. I think the food could be more appetizing. They do offer other items if you don't like what is on the menu. They are able to play bingo, and they are still working within protocols of COVID.

My dad lives at Bradford Place in Swansea. The workers are very friendly. The rooms are kept clean. Laundry is done once a week. The kitchen staff is very friendly.. They have a good activities person. She tries to make everyone happy. They all like to play Bingo. All in all Bradford Place is a small community and everyone knows each other and they respect each other...Great Place and clean.

It took awhile for someone to answer the buzzer. When they finally came I was chastised because I was standing too close to the wall and could not be seen - no apology for my wait time. The rooms were very dated. Staff in the kitchen were very loud, laughing and talking while residence were eating. It felt unprofessional. [Name removed] the director was very nice and has only been in her role since Jan.

Both of my parents are doing very well at Bradford Place and for the most part, the staff is all very friendly and accommodating. There are activities and field trips should they want to take part and they have a shuttle for the residents to go to doctor appts and shopping. The dining is very nice as is the food and they even bring your meals to your room if you prefer.

My mom is doing great here. The staff are extremely nice and helpful. The facility is immaculately clean. I picked them because when I first had a visit with them I went unannounced. The staff I saw were genuinely friendly and it was so clean. She thinks it is great and she loves having her own bathroom. The community is small and that is what she wanted. Overall it's been great.

So far my experiences with Bradford Place have been good. It would be nice if they had more caregivers during the day, but I know that would raise the price. The food could use more seasoning is my mother's only complaint.

I did like this community. the staff was great. The layout was nice. It seemed very well taken care of. I think families should see this community for themself. I do feel that they need more activities for a loved one. The food seemed to be good and the variety was a nice choice. Family might like the care here, but need to see for themselves for a place for a loved one.

I would say it is still a work in progress for us here this community. The transition went good, and my mother in law is all settled into this community. I would say we do have to provide a lot of over sight on the staff. We have to stay on them about taking care of her needs. The food is okay, but they do serve well balanced meals. We are still working with the director to resolve our issues. It is a nice community overall. I would recommend it, but you will over to provide a lot of over sight.

A Place for Mom has scored Bradford Place 9.3 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
