Blaire House is lovely, it is a smaller building which gives off that more at home feeling, it is very welcoming. The care services are good, we have been very satisfied. Our loved one doesn't always participate in the activities but they do try their best to get him engaged which we appreciate their efforts. They have done very well with COVID and keeping them safe. They have gone above and beyond with modifying visits and stepping up their cleaning. Regardless of everything that is going on, we were amazed and so pleased.... Read more

I think the facility is very nice, old carriage house style, and very well maintained. It has a good-sized section dedicated to a skilled VA approved nursing home facility in case a resident needs to be transferred. Very nice and well maintained grounds for walking and sitting outdoors, and has prescheduled transportation to medical facilities. The service they provide on average is acceptable for the price you pay. Make sure they follow and abide by the "Plan of Care."

Our loved one first lived on the assisted living side and we thought they could handle her projection she had with her memory, she is now living on the nursing side of the facility. This community is great, it is kept pretty clean. Right now they have stopped activities due to COVID, but beforehand they had church ceremonies, yoga and exercise classes. On Friday's they had get together's before dinner. The rooms are pretty good in size, she is currently living in a one bedroom. We would have to give that a four out of five. The food is not bad, we would have to give that a four in a half out of five.

Everything is always in good shape and things are usually pretty clean. The only thing here is that the entrances and some of the community spaces at are locked so there is no easy access to restrooms, which can make life difficult if you are with someone with dementia, for example. One or two of the staff seem to be really into taking care of all the residents, we love dealing with them. The other staff seem to be a little non-existent and hard to interact with. My wife enjoys it here and the fact that they have nurses on staff is great. They did take good care of her throughout the day. With regard to the Covid-19 pandemic, a major concern of mine is that the nursing center had multiple cases of the virus. There has been a lack of communication with us regarding what they are doing to mitigate the spread. We also cannot get information regarding the state audit regarding virus preparedness and they will not tell us about any corrective action taking place.

Although we've decided to place mom closer to our home, I found Blair House to be cozy and inviting. I was warmly greeted by [name removed] and the surrounding staff and, the memory care rooms I saw were very pleasant. It's great that they also have a nursing home side so residents can be easily transferred if needed. There was a male resident sitting in a lounge area when I arrived. He must have read my mind because, when our eyes met, he said, "It's good here. It's really good."

The Blaire House of Tewksbury is an amazing place. My Dad lived there from March - July of 2019. Every staff member we encountered was professional, honest and caring. I highly recommend this place!

Not the right fit for our needs at this time, a bit of sensory overload during our tour. Didn't seem quite up to the level of other places we've visited, but the availability of long term care was good.

My mom was in the dementia unit - 2 East. The staff was professional knowledgeable, and caring. It was a great experience especially considering that our family had labored for years to keep Mom at home. It was heart-breaking to place her in a nursing home, but the staff truly made my mom and the whole family feel at ease. It was obvious that the nurses and the aides felt a true calling to work with people who need memory care. They were always positive and accepting of my Mom and her mood. When my mom passed, the staff was sensitive and embraced us as they led us through the sad process. When [name removed] told me that it had been their privilege to care for my mom, I truly believed her. That was a tremendous gift to our family

I had a nice tour of this facility. Everyone was kind, and friendly. From what I saw the community looked nice, and clean. The staff I met was polite, and they answered my questions. It was a good experience, but I did feel this was the community for my father, and his needs.

Not an overall good experience at all. My elderly father spent five weeks recovering from hip surgery. He was put in the "memory care" unit. I was there every single day for 5 weeks. So very little interaction between staff and residents. Common room had a huge TV that was usually blaring a game show. Even I know Alzheimer patients are confused even more by loud noise. I was between heartbroken and angry all the time. Knew as soon as my dad recovered I was getting him out of there and into another home. We switched to Emeritus, and I witnessed the staff engaging with the patients. I think about all the other poor souls that we left behind in that horrible place. If you truly love your elderly mom, dad, aunt or uncle. Blair House is not the place. Staff puts a good show upfront for you. But you soon learn, terrible terrible place. They didn't even have a nice chair for the patients to sit on in the so called "family room".

So far it's going pretty good. I haven't had any issues with billing or staff or anything. I would give them a four or four and a half.

I toured this community while looking into care options for a loved one. I looked at quite a few communities in the area and this one stood out to me as being very nice! The facility was well kept and clean, and all of the staff I met seemed friendly and professional. I would definitely recommend them as being worth a look!

They've done an absolutely wonderful job so far at Blaire House of Tewksbury! All of the staff here are attentive and caring, and very involved in what they do. You can tell it is more than just a job to them! The director is a wonderful person as well. He's very communicative, and always easy to get in touch with, he will answer his cell phone even after he is off duty. He personally organizes a monthly dinner for the men in the community to socialize! All in all it is a great place, I would highly recommend it!

We toured this location when we were looking into care options for our loved one. The gentleman that showed us around was very nice, and the staff all seemed friendly. However, they were lacking some of the amenities that we'd seen in some of the other communities we toured here, and the decor was a bit outdated.

We use Blaire House for daycare, and they really do a phenomenal job! After he gets back they've kept him so busy that he's able to sleep very well that night, which has been an issue he's been having. The staff really go above and beyond to be accommodating and make sure he is happy and comfortable. We also really like that the community has a good population of men for him to socialize with.

I was not impressed by what I saw during our tour. It was an old building, and it just seemed dark and claustrophobic to me. The atmosphere wasn't what I wanted for my Mom. The care services seemed fine, and the staff were all perfectly nice, but the building itself left a lot to be desired.
