My mother resides at Benchmark and I can honestly say that it has been the best decision of my life! The staff is so amazing! I wanted a place that is just like home, well I found it. The whole place knows your name and they know how to make your loved one feel accepted. With ALZ it is not easy on both my mom and us but BSL is there if I have any questions or concerns. I also LOVE all the activities. My mom calls me and raves about the bus tour they just went on to the beach or a tour around town. She loves that she can get out and see the world. I made the decision to go to BSL and I am so happy I made the choice. They all are an amazing group of people!... Read more

My name is Jim Lynch Jr. I moved my dad into Haverhill Crossing in early July 2021. I had no idea where to look for assisted living so I asked friends and searched the internet and the name Haverhill Crossing kept coming up as the place that people spoke so highly about. I wanted my dad to be in a good place. He is a very active 90 year old who was a runner up until last year. My first interview with Haverhill Crossing my dad and I were super impressed. The transition was very easy and my dad is very happy. He loves his apartment and said the food is delicious. My dad had hundreds of tee shirts from races he won that we didn't know what to do with and the activities director said let us make him a quilt the women here would love to make it for him. They did and my father was very happy. It was very special for his running friends and our family. My dad is very happy now and that's what's important to me. I want to say Thank You to all the staff at Haverhill Crossings for my dad's care.
It's about what I expected for the industry, the cost, everything else. The care is really good. The facility is well taken care of. No complaints.
It was a great experience all the way around. We looked at a lot of places and we were so pleased with Benchmark Senior Living. It is an assisted living model that can take you to the end of life instead of having to move to a hospital like setting which is why it was so special to us. I would recommend to others looking.
When we were given the tour and had a family meeting, I made the mistake of believing what they said. My LO was a wanderer. I knew he would not be able to distinguish his room from others' rooms. "No problem, they said. Our staff can handle that." Within 2 weeks, they started calling me to complain that he was going into other residents' rooms. Then they started to insist that I hire someone to be with him 24/7. Any communications that I had with the director of Memory care and the director of nursing felt like being attacked by bullies. I finally moved my LO to another MC facility where the care is so much better and I have peace.

I would not recommend Benchmark Senior Living at Haverhill to other families who are looking.
Some activities this community had were move nights, happy hour three times a week, they would bring in guest speakers as well. They also had exercise classes and art classes. The woman that was our main contact there in the beginning was very friendly, warm, easy to talk to and even funny. She made it sound like anything was possible. She showed us around and everything was very nice looking. It is an attractive building with a nice layout. Our loved ones room was on the smaller side, but it worked out perfect for them The food the served was very tasty.
The community is amazing. My loved one went in right before Covid. They have taken care of her, anything she needed they were accommodating. The people that take care of my loved one are very helpful They will call me if anything changes. The staff helps give her medication, help with the daily activities of living. To my surprise my loved one was able to participate in the activities and the community have continued doing activities at a distance.
The cleanliness of the community seems to be a priority for them and they have done a good job with the Covid-19 pandemic. The staff seems very conscientious with the residents and their families and have been open for questions. They have been great. The only issue with the care services is that it is hard when my grandmother moves to a higher care level and then the price jumps, which can be difficult when she is on fixed funding. Other than that, everything surrounding her care is great.
firstly felt more like a home feeling then some of the other places toured.nice refreshments served, loved the blueberry bread!.does not present well,as it seems a little dingy, urine smell in hallway near apartment shown, salesperson said nothing to worry about??. we felt as though she was a little on the aggressive side,a lot of need to make a decision quickly etc.I think she under estimated us ,as we have toured others.close to my sister is why we looked, but along with the smells, and the pressure to sign,we are going to continue to look at other options
We recently transitioned my 97-year-old father to Haverhill Crossings. He is a very active senior. This made the decision to transition him to an assisted living even more difficult. However the staff at Haverhill Crossings have been tremendous. The transition went very smoothly. Everyone knows his name now. The food is fabulous. In fact he has gained 5 pounds in a little over two months. The place is spotless. I highly recommend Table crossings For anyone that needs to make this important decision.
we toured last week for our parents,we liked the idea of haverhill due to closeness of family. we had been in once before, and decided to give it a go again.we were told to go around lunch time to see / taste the food, very good.compliments to chef's who prepared a lovely meal,we had our own waitress ([name removed]) she was wonderful.we were waiting for the other shoe to drop and it did. saleswoman can be aggressive (nothing is for free ). we sensed urgency ( think used car sales pitch) we noticed lots of empty apartments, but were told ,"better make a decision quickly or will be gone" ?? building does not present well, lots of odors, dirty feel to it.we have a lot to think about.
nice place, not what expected from other reviews.. not let down by the food.we had a lovely lunch, our waitress reminded us of our grand daughter..(smart and cute! ) we liked the apartment, the halls in the building look in need of a good cleaning,an off odor kept creeping in. saleswoman kept coming up with excuses for ripped carpets etc.over all we are strongly considering Haverhill. first because we have a good feeling about it,and second we live nearby..if you want a fancy place ,not for you.but the longer you stay and see other residents smiling you will like..folks in the restaurant seemed very happy, and the girls all knew their names and heard nice comments after they left the tables..( nice sign )..
I can not say enough about Benchmark Haverhill Crossing. They excell in all areas. The compassion caring environment is so comforting. You always see the employees smiling. You know they love there jobs. Knowing that my family member is being. Cared for here is such a piece of mind. We love it here!!
we had a pleasant visit with Haverhill Crossings, not what we expected ( we toured others ) not as fancy but the longer you stay very nice..first off nice woman gave us a nice tour,we were offered lunch! let me tell you the food was not as expected.. first class! from the lovely waitress ( haunting accent! ) we asked for salmon and a cheeseburger to keep things simple.the presentation was great, burger huge, and a great cheesecake for dessert how can you go wrong...ladies next to us invited to come back for lobster roll day!..we have a lot to consider apartments on the smaller side, some remodeled some others not? staff in hallways seemed nice, lots of hello's .for the price could be nicer looking, but we are looking for care.we will strongly consider
we like it overall . led to believe to be first class, but not quite.needs a good scrubbing, apartment needs a good cleaning,we were promised by supv. ,but hasn't happpened?we like the girls who take care, the restaurant is pretty good, lot's of food options..ask for the lobster roll, soups are very good as well.changes in management is not the best situation, but we understand.( I am in management ) .we have a special waitress that treats us like family, nice college age girls keep it fun, well run.they do a good job at Haverhill Crossings.we are happy
overall good choice for us, we were promised first class by sales ( of course ).. has not lived up to that but good.. workers are pleasant ,noticed some residents are in need of attention. we like the dining area, girls in the restaurant are nice, and treat mom " like a queen".. we dine occasionally and have been happy..lobster rolls yum!..laundry and cleaning have had some hiccups, if you ask to get things done you will get results, annoying at times though. some turnover in management makes us nervous.over all happy
we had a pleasant tour last week, nice refreshments offered ( biggest muffin we have ever seen) fresh fruit etc. the apartment we saw looked nice, but walking thru we saw some other ,not so nice ,not sure if it is a bait and switch.people in the hallways seemed friendly enough, one thing we noticed was the aroma, like a bad air fresher.we couldn't put our finger on it as we toured. asked to use the restroom and we found it filthy.,urine smell and the floor very sticky etc.,noticed it had a grimy feel to it overall. we are considering because of the proximity to our home.we are hoping next visit goes smoother when we bring our mom
so far so good...very happy so far.i am a little bored as the activities are boring ( they read the obituaries for an activity).the young man in the kitchen said we will have picnics and cook outs this summer, that will be nice, had one so far and it was grand.i like the dining hall, and the girls i sit with..food is very good, and they seem to try ,and get me special treats the office is nice, help we with questions.my apartment bathroom need to be cleaned, housekeeping not very good.i have asked about my cleaning schedule but to no success.the nurses are good.so far so good
I have lived here for a while now. Things have been okay. People that work here and who I live with seem to be very nice. Food is good. Soups are really good. Girls in the dining hall are Pleasant. My room it's small. And needs to be cleaned more than once. I have asked for additional cleaning I was told we are short-handed doing the best we can. I understand that but for the money I am paying my room and bathroom are filthy. The girls come in very quick before I have time to ask they are gone. The supervisor is very rude sometimes when approached. I've spoken with my daughter and she said she will fix it for me ..I hope
