They are short staffed at this time so sometimes her meals are cold and she has to send them back. Also it does not seem like they are cleaning deep enough due to the lack of workers. They do make sure that my loved ones room is clean however the common areas are not so up kept. The staff have been great they are really good. We have been assisting an elderly person who does not have any family to look after her. We did extensive investigation, along with hiring a person to help us choose a retirement community. The future resident with memory issues then toured the choices and both we and she chose Belmont. We knew that a short tour does not cover innumerable issues that relate to a move from a personal home to a retirement community. We were lucky. Belmont Village Sabre Springs is exceptional. The attention to details and personal care starts at the top. [name removed], the executive director at this Belmont Village runs an efficient facility with staff that cares about each individual resident. Since we do not live close to the retirement community, the staff and the executive director's responsiveness to phone calls and emails goes beyond reasonable expectations.
We are very happy with the Belmont VIllage, and things are starting to slowly open back up. Our loved one is very happy with the meals they are providing and we do think the value for cost is very good.
We did a virtual tour of this community and the tour was great. The staff was very friendly and they answered all of our questions. They had good follow-up and communication also.
My brother was a resident here for 2 years after experiencing an accident which left him in a wheelchair. He received wonderful care in a lovely environment. His private room, although small, had everything he needed. The PALS were so helpful in getting him to meals, activities, and anywhere else he needed to go. The grounds are beautiful with a swimming pool and outside areas where you can visit with family and friends. The food was really good. I was able to go to lunch there with him at least once a week. They ordered off menus and the waiters were really good about knowing about each residents preferences. The medical staff always kept me apprised of any changes they noticed in my brother's health. The rest of the staff always seemed to busy and they were always friendly. I would highly recommend Belmont Village to anyone looking for an alternative setting for their loved one.
We did not have a good experience with Belmont Village Sabre Springs. They got us in and promise great care. That was not the case at all, no one ever came to her room to help her get out of bed at all, to go to the bathroom, to the dining room, etc. We had to end up moving my mom out after 5 weeks because they did not take good care of her, the director got upset with me when she found out. We were very disappointed with them and would not recommend. It is not for somebody who cannot get up and walk on their own.
This facility is a lovely place when managing your own home is no longer an option. The facilities are lovely, spacious, bright, and cheerful. The rooms are nicely updated with granite counters, warm grey and white walls and vinyl wood floors. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The food is wonderful with a large selection of items to choose from. The waiters and waitresses are very good at remembering residents names and their food preferences. There are loads of outings and entertainment on the premises, including a swimming pool, and a bbq area. There are exercise facilities available. It is very much like being on a cruise ship without the waves! I feel the staff here is very caring and do the best they can to keep everyone happy.
The proximity to our house is perfect - 9 minutes away. Nice facility. Cost is ok. Would prefer a bit lower, but very clean, many nurses, staff has been there a long time. Nurses on every floor, everything is included except phone and salon services. no personal balconies. Would probably need a one bedroom instead of a studio. Studio's very small. Would want all vinyl floors. some had carpet. some are dark, not enough light. Easier to change units once in, residents get first priority to change. Lots of activities, will shuttle to dr. appt. within 10 miles. (Tues. and Thurs.'s) Some road noise. Inside is quiet. Independent living has w/d, but could have w/d service for $125 mth. Included in Assisted living. There is a community fee equal to one months rent. Partially refunded if move within 90 days. Very good memory facility.Special diets accommodated. Nurse on every floor. Maintenance of interior included.
My significant other has lived at Belmont for about a year now. The facility is clean, comfortable, and pleasant. I take comfort in that the staff are pleasant and attentive to her needs. I also like that Belmont is good about communicating with loved ones and other family. Dementia is difficult for both the staff and family to deal with, I think Belmont's approach is better that other Senior Care Facilities. I like that they have brain exercise classes to keep residents stimulated and engaged. You will have to see the place and make your own evaluation.
My parents have lived at Belmont Village for the past three years. The environment is so nice and the staff is amazing. My parents always comment on how well they are taken care of.
We enjoyed our tour and lunch. This is a contender. Considering and talking about it with other family members, Do like their approach.
Wonderful "feel" in this community. The Sales Director could not have been more cordial and genuine. All staff members greeted me enthusiastically and seemed genuinely joyful about their work. Beautiful setting, well-maintained building, excellent menus, abundant activities for my active independent senior parents. This will be among my top picks to review with Mom & Dad.
This is a pretty large facility with lots of options. They have a great "Circle of Friends" option for people with dementia. The rooms are dated and a little small but this is definitely a great option.
My Dad’s been here for about a month and a half and things are going excellently. The staff is doing a great job at providing the right kind of care that my Dad needs with his dementia. The food is okay but I wasn’t pleased with it. However, I think it’s more so just because we like our food spicy and the food they serve is made for people of their generation that can’t handle it as well. They’re great with keeping the place clean and it looks wonderful. There are different levels of dementia care available and with the slightly more functioning group they have outings once a week. They have a group called Circle of Friends that’s specific to the community and it’s filled with the higher functioning dementia residents. I like that Circle of Friends is designed so the residents are reminded that they aren’t alone and they have friends there with them. The facility provides transportation to certain shopping centers for the more independent residents and they’ll take them to various churches on Sundays. In terms of daily activities, they have memory games, ping pong, billiards, happy hours on Thursdays, live music performances at least once a week, and I think they’ve had dance performances too. There are also crafts and different kinds of parties for the holidays. There’s a gym as well that the residents can use regularly. Overall, it’s just a beautiful atmosphere
Heavy emphasis on memory care, which is not a priority for us right now.
Specifically asked for places with day care and/ or respite care. No Day Care, Minimum Respite Care too long - 30 days!
Cost exceeds monthly income fabulous facility and staff
I am impressed with the whole operation! I really like the individualized care my mother gets here. They have done a wonderful job and things are going very well!
This community was one of our favorites. The people we met were nice and the community was clean. This community does offer a lot of amenities, however it is double the price of the community we chose.
The Belmont Village was too upscale. It was very fancy and had pools on sight. It almost reminded me of a resort and it was also very pricey. The staff was friendly and it was a very nice place, but it was not the right fit foot my mother.
