At Artis, we help people living with dementia achieve the essential human need for purpose, belonging, and joy by building a bridge between their lifelong identity and present daily life. By “Honoring Yesterday, Celebrating Today,” we create safer, more connected, more celebrated lives.
Our holistic well-being framework is comprised of four essential components, in optimal combination: supportive environment, discreet care, social connection, and cognitive health. We collaborate with the resident, their family, doctors, and care partners to create an assessment-based plan of care, with supervision by on-site 24-hour licensed nursing staff and 24-hour dementia care-trained associates on-site. We also offer coordination with third-party and visiting therapists, clinicians, and specialists.
Our thoughtfully designed community consists of four distinct, locally themed neighborhoods, 12,000+ sq. ft. of secure outdoor space with walking paths and seating, and a Town Square with centralized amenities. Suites featuring doorway shadow boxes to aid wayfinding, dedicated family photo shelving, and ADA-compliant bathrooms.

My loved one is currently a resident at Artis Senior Living of Somers and our experience at this facility has been great. The cleanliness and friendliness are great. The best place for memory care.
The Director of the Artis Way/Case Manager, [name removed], plays a pivotal role in overseeing the wellbeing of the resident and their family by ensuring the care partners and staff understand an individual's needs. She "sets a resident up for success" and really pays attention to details about likes, dislikes, and family connection as well. My mom was declining, and they surprised ME with a birthday party so that my mom could be present. It meant everything. That being said, it takes a village, and being present and visible as a loved one is always beneficial in making sure needs are met by the staff.

Warm and Compassionate Senior Care
Since my dad moved in this past February, I have been Impressed with Artis Senior Living of Somers (which is impeccably maintained) and the staff. My dad comments every time I speak to him that the staff could not be nicer or more helpful. I am very comfortable with our choice and would definitely recommend Artis to someone looking for Senior Memory Care in a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

Artis Review
It's a brand new facility- opened in May. So they are only 1/2 filled now, which means when a resident arrives they get a lot of attention and the staff get to know them as individuals.
My loved one has medical needs and they have a full time nursing staff which was very hard to find. They have an in house doctor so I only need to take him to occasional specialists.
Until now I've had to cover so much of his care - for several years. It has been a great relief to have him here.
