5-star is based on tour only. Cannot comment on care as I do not have a relative there yet. Tour impressions - Very attractive facility, very clean. Residents that I saw were all clean, nicely dressed, appeared content.Reviewed on SeniorAdvisor.com
My loved on was in this specific community for several years. During the first three or four I was very happy. They weren’t without issues but issues were always addressed quickly and professionally. Then a new director, without specific dementia training or qualifications and unexplained gaps in employment, was brought in. Things quickly went down hill. She sits in the office all day,, doesn’t communicate or acknowledge family members and allows senior staff to run things without adequate oversight. The lead RN has no business being in a dementia care community; she lacks empathy and appropriate follow up skills. She can be very dismissive when you bring care issues or concerns to her. These behaviors run throughout the organization, as when concerns are escalated to Corp management or through Aren Courts Care Line they go unanswered. Time they clean house.Reviewed on A Place For Mom
Clean facility. Secured entry, which I liked. Bedroom was small for the price. Staff was friendly. Director was nice. But it didn’t have that ‘warm & friendly’ feel to it. A little too stuffy & proper for my taste. But I’m sure it’s lovable to it’s inhabitants. My loved one would be well taken care of at this place. But I don’t think he’d fit in here.Reviewed on SeniorAdvisor.com
