Assisted living communities provide regular social interaction and apartment style housing as well as personalized assistance. This screening includes a number of areas of interest such as a negotiated risk plan will be established, A comprehensive assessment, evaluation must be updated at least semi-annually or when a significant change in condition occurs, and community will identify scope of care based on evaluation. Staff members receive education in a variety of fields. These include: records, emergency procedures, instructions on the needs of the specialized populations served in the community, and resident’s rights. This type of community is required to offer a number of services. These include executing a minor regimen based upon a nursing diagnosis or as prescribed by a physician, physician’s assistant, chiropractor, dentist, optometrist, podiatrist, or nurse practitioner, a nursing diagnosis, scheduled transportation for community-based activities, and comprehensive nursing care.
