Assisted living communities administer healthcare, social opportunities, and supervision to individuals around 65 years of age or older. Assisted living communities usually provide outings for leisurely activity, help with daily activities, and aid with transit and appointments. These include activities and programs appropriate to residents’ abilities and interests, identifying responses to actual or potential health conditions, a nursing diagnosis, and comprehensive nursing care. communities must consider residents’ personal preference meals may temporarily be delivered to the resident’s room. This community type has a number of provisions pertaining to medication assistance. These provisions include preparation of prescribed medications, distribution of prescribed medications, and resident must be observed for effects of medications and undesirable effects must be documented and the resident’s physician notified.
