Moved my family member to the memory care unit and was the biggest mistake I made. There is very little care. They sit them in front of a television all day. Family member passed away there. Luckily they were in hospice care, because they got no extra care from the staff. Not one word from them except get her stuff cleaned out 2 days after passing. Most of the things she had weren't even theirs. No one from the staff even sent condolence after they passed. Do not put your family member in their memory care unit

Better tasting meals would be nice. It's under new ownership now, so that's an unknown.

I would recommend the community to others for their loved ones. The communication with the staff was really good if we had questions or concerns about our friend. My friend had made some complaints about the food not being to their liking and didn't elaborate any further than that.

Good community. They didn't have availability for a private room.
I've had very good communication with Allegria. Their team has kept me updated on everything that's going on with my famly member. Whenever I go in, it always looks really clean. Initially we had some issues with the care, although they did get that resolved pretty quickly. And ultimately she seems happy there and is setting in pretty quickly. We've been very pleased with how reasonably priced they are for the good care they provide.

The community is very clean, and we haven't heard much feedback regarding the meals and dining service but we do know our loved one enjoys staying busy with all the activities. It is also a great value.

We chose Allegria at The Oaks because of the location and they were very friendly and made a great impression on us during the tour. My friend raves about the food, she loves it. They seem to have lots of activities provided, they email me the calendar. I would definitely recommend by all means.

I would recommend the community to others for their loved ones. It felt like staying in a hotel, and this was a nice respite for my loved one. Everyone was friendly during the stay. My loved one raved about the food. The activities did seemed to be limited due to the pandemic.

We chose Allegria at The Oaks because they were very helpful, honest, and upfront about the care that they provided and the cost. They really worked with us in terms of transporting mom from her previous facility to Allegria. They have been excellent with communication especially with us not being able to go in. If I need an update I email them or give them a call and they are great with response time. They do offer shared rooms as well that cuts down on the cost tremendously. The room are very nice and there is privacy inside the shared rooms with a room divider. The residents do not spend a lot of times in their rooms, the majority of the day they are out doing things in the common areas.

This community was recommended to us, and so far it has been working out nicely. We would recommend the Allegria at The Oaks community to other families.
Moved my father to Allegria at the Oaks almost 2 months ago and we have seen a big improvement with his social skills and health since then. He lived alone for over 3 years, since my mother had died, and now, he's eating 3 meals a day again, socializing again, and enjoying life. He has dementia, but is able to take care of his personal needs. He's in the Independent Living area, so I cannot comment on the Memory Care area. Of all the places we searched for, this is the only one that he could afford and the area is very suburban and not like living in an institution. Whenever I needed something, the Maintenance Team took care of his needs and the Nursing Staff is kind. The administration team is very friendly and helpful when I ask dumb questions (it's not like I've done this before). Thank you to the staff for taking great care of dad.

Contacted Allegria because they were recommended by another facility as being affordable. They are a more reasonable place to move my Aunt into. They made the process very easy. [name removed] handled everything professionally and worked with us to move my Aunt quickly. She had to leave a not great other facility. They don't have a lot of extra fees like every other place seems to have. The food is good and the care is exceptional. They go above and beyond in every area. Cannot recommend them any higher. Pleasure to deal with!

We chose Allegria at The Oaks because we had heard good things about it and the price was right. They were pretty good with communication, especially the hospice nurses. I absolutely recommend them to others looking.

With covid they have not been able to offer as many as activities as they can, but they do their best. The staff are very attentive and they answer all concerns we have in an efficient manner or handle all requests with no problem and with a smile. They are very responsive and we just had a great experience so far.

We chose Allegria at The Oaks because the value was competitive with others we looked at and the location was good for our family. He also did have a roommate option which not everyone did, so the price is cut down more. They are very good with communication, especially during covid. I would recommend the facility to others.

A Place for Mom has scored Allegria at The Oaks 8.9 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score.
