Riva Terrace

My mother has been a resident at Riva Terrace 5 for 3 months. While it is true that this is not an assisted living with a lot of activities, which was the case where my mother was previously, the care is excellent. The caretaker gives a great deal of attention, and provides a happy living experience. She is good at problem solving and tries to make the residents feel cared for. The facility has good relationships with medical services for maintenance care and provides healthy meals. My mother has eaten more food in the 3 months she has been there than she did for 2 years prior, I was constantly worked about my mother prior to this, now I can relax!

My mom stayed in the facility for few years and Im very satisfied with their services..The caregiver [name removed] is amazing , he is very kind and patient with the resident. All meals are home cooked and delicious. They bring out residents on the deck every morning for sunlight. The place is always neat and clean. The caregiver also is well trained and knows how to deal with residents when they are agitated. Highly recommended.

We have had such a wonderful experience with Riva Terrace, we really like the smallness of the community. They only had 5 rooms available for residents and we were able to tour the community before they had to shut down a second time due to the pandemic - all of the residents were out of their rooms and were in the living room the overlooked the water which was lovely. We noticed a worker in the corner was singing to a resident which we thought was such a nice touch. The community is very clean and neat.

I would recommend Riva Terra 6 to others for their loved ones. The community itself and staff stand out to for reasons to me recommend them. The staff are very good and are responsive to questions or concerns and take their time with the family. There are 5 residents and at least 2 staff members. My loved one likes the food. There are activities for the residents to join, if they would like.

We couldn't be happier with the level of care, communication and overall kindness that our mom is receiving here. They are so loving and respectful to everyone in their care and that makes us so happy.

The staff at Sunshine House is fabulous. My Mother in law is doing well since moving into this community. Andrea attends her doctor's appointments with her and this has been a blessing. The food looks good and healthy. The staff do encourage her to participate in the daily activities. They keep this community clean and well taken care of.

Quite simply the best around. Kind, respectful, extremely helpful on all levels and mom is getting exactly what she needs.

This place has been great so far for my mother! The staff is incredibly attentive, friendly, and informative. I spoke to Larry many times in the beginning, and he was very helpful throughout the process. It is a smaller community with four residents living in a house, so there is a wonderful homey atmosphere. The residents can gather in the living room and dining room, so there is a great sense of community. From what I have seen, all of the meals are prepared there. I would most definitely recommend any of the Riva Terrace communities!

Riva Terrace 4 is a really great community. We found due to a recommendation through A Place for Mom. Once we started doing more research we actually found out members of our church were also in a Riva Terrace community. It is located in a residential area and is actually really quiet. Rose and a young man that works for her (Carl) have gone out of their way to be friendly with our loved one and really make them comfortable. We are very happy with Riva Terrace and would absolutely recommend them to anyone.

This facility was bright and inviting, but too small for my sister's needs. [Name removed] and [name removed] were delightful!

This was a nice looking care home when we visited. The caregivers seemed nice and the home looked spotless. This care home did not have any openings at the time we toured it.

The caregivers at this care home are friendly and great. Mom seems to love the food. They keep the care home clean. They do not offer any activities. I would recommend this care home.

This was too small (4 beds total) for my sister's needs, though the staff were wonderful and warm.

This seemed like a good place for someone who didn't need alot of one on one care. It also seemed too 'quiet' for my mother. I think she would thrive better in a place with more people around.

Smaller facility good ratio of caregiver to residents. First home shown had sunk in living room with difficulity to someone using a walker. Even getting to dinning room would prove difficult. Other house shown was better

Very nice homes, well managed. All 5 occupant homes with live in. Only 1 is awake night staff. Average cost 3800. She accepts medicaide waiver.

This was a very nice small group home. Everything on a single level (a plus.) Very nicely maintained. The available room was a nice size.

Lack of a time for activities. Just a tv.

Overall few activites besides TV

I'm not happy with it. It has two gentlemen there, my loved one included. I feel he is very isolated, not much staff or resident interaction. They don't get him up to be alert and socialize, and they always leave the door closed, or just barely open. It's very nice looking, but it's not what I was used to, or what I expected. I have to supply everything, and they are very specific about what you have to supply, what brands, and types of things. It's boring there is nobody to talk to. Just very disappointing.
