My parents were very comfortable there and well taken care of. It was a temporary arrangement, but the staff went over and above to get them in and settled. Thank you!! My mom has Crone's Disease and has a very restrictive diet of gluten free and certain other food additives give her issues. They tried their best to accommodate her needs, but sometimes left her with very few alternatives. But I know they did their best

She loved the staff & the small size of that Eskaton. None of the residents wanted to move Since it was small, they feel they had more care there

We had an unexpectedly brief experience with Eskaton Lodge, and I credit the director at the time for making it such an amazing experience. The staff was so gracious, loving, and helpful to my dad! Although he was only able to spend 3 days at the community because of a sudden illness, he described it as "three days of heaven!"

[name removed] was very helpful in scheduling a tour, answering all of our questions, and getting the room ready for my parents in short order. The staff is very patient and friendly!! They are wonderful! I would absolutely recommend Eskaton Lodge Gold River to others looking!

This community was new and my loved one liked it here they just had to find another community due to other reasons.

I feel my loved one is in a safe environment. The community offers a home like feeling to the residents. I would like for the staff to knock on the door before entering the resident's rooms.

The cleanliness of the community is excellent, and the meals are very good. I am a vegetarian and they are very accommodating for me. All the meals are being delivered to us because of covid and there is less of a variety. The activities are geared very well for the population they have here. The staff here is fabulous, they really bend over backwards for us to make comfortable, i am very happy here.

The food the staff and the activities are all great my mom is very happy here. I would recommend this community to others.

We have been very happy with our experience at The Trousdale. The managing director here is really, really good. The staff members here are all very dedicated to their residents, they do have some turnover but not a lot. They also have an excellent chef that prepares great meals. The units here do seem small to me compared to others facilities that we looked into. I would recommend to others looking.

I would recommend this community to others for their loved ones. Eskaton is very caring, has strong communication with the families, and is very professional. My loved one is very happy and has a very spacious room.

There has been quite a turnover recently. They are now back to staff level at The Parkview. I think The Parkview is doing a great job with the recommendations from the Governor. I believe memory care residents has had it the hardest due to the lock down. They have a beautiful Centennial Park near the community. No one has the setting this community has, and that impressed me. This community along with others don't have staff that have qualified training to work with Memory Care Residents.

The place is very nice. The staff provide excellent care and are very conscientious. I chose this community because it was new and modern and the price was in line with our budget. I also chose it because when we met the staff they were all very friendly and nice. They are able to give the care they we couldn't.

Eskaton is a great place for seniors, offering independent living in homes or apartments, assisted living, and memory care. The residents I saw seemed quite happy. There are so many opportunities for seniors to be involved in activities. Unfortunately, they do not accept Medicaid or MediCal.

My MIL lived here for a year and a half. I don’t have the words to explain how wonderful and caring Eskaton was to her. We never worried for 1day that she was not receiving the absolute best care. She always said she felt like a princess. The Eskaton staff and admin are simply the best in the biz. Don’t hesitate for a moment to put a loved one here.

The staff there was amazing. When my mom was at Eskaton Lodge, I was surprised on how friendly the staff was. The helpers and staff all took the time to get to know my mom and what she needed. The food was good, and was appetizing to her. They staff took the time to make sure the room was clean and was very responsive to any requests she or we made. I would highly recommend Eskaton Lodge in Cameron Park.

The staff at Eskaton Lodge are wonderful. You couldn't ask for nicer caring people to help you out. My Mother in-law received wonderful care from a loving staff 24-7. The Activity Team, [Name removed] & [Name removed], are the best, they make sure everyone is included in everything they plan, and are extremely helpful. I have to say the Lodge is a beautiful place to live and really very welcoming from the moment you step in the front door.

had a quick tour with [Removed] late in day and saw a large one bedroom with a nice kitchen and vaulted ceiling, mom liked. great food and facilities. want to see more. 1/11/17: saw 1 and 2 bedroom cottages, and a 2 br apt. the 2 br cottage was a 110k buy in, don't know what the price was for the one br but both living rooms, kitchens, bedrooms and baths were nice. i liked the one br cottage. all cottages have garages included in fee. The 2 br apt was an octagonal shape, was nice and spacious but smaller kitchen. monthly rent increases yearly, avg 3.6%. buy in membership option can be resold. other option is momth to month, about 1K more. Cottages are a great way to go but def more independent and farther from dining and other rooms. Update 1/22/18 Saw 2 bedroom apartments and a 2 bedroom cottage. Mom liked them all, was impressed with everything about the community and so far this is her favorite and is most serious about. Since the two bedroom apartments were so large, she might consider one of those instead of the cottages. She enjoyed the salad bar and dessert bar at lunch, though she thought there were too few options in the buffet and wasn't interested in any of them, even though she could have ordered a sandwich. She doesn't eat pork and that was the only meat option in the buffet today. She liked that there were two soups available and was pleased with the option to eat in the Bistro if for some reason she couldn't make the normal meal times. She also asked about the properties with HUD subsidies for lower income people, for her brother.

Very nice place, with lots of care levels and living options. Not sure it’s right for my Dad, as it might be nicer/pricier, and more “social” than he’s seeking. We’re also not sure how long he’ll be in the area vs moving him closer to the family in the LA area.
