Arbor House

We're loving Arbor House of Waco. It feels like home. We have gotten to know the staff and love all of them for the most part. They go out of their way to make the people around them feel good and feel comfortable.

Arbor House of Marble Falls is very clean and they are staffed to provide attention to each resident. I do think for the cost, more help with moving in and out would be better.

We are extemly pleased with the community. The people are very caring and have gone the extra miles to get things done. My loved one is involved in some activities. The facility is a good value but it's expensive. My loved one, ws faced with a difficult situation, and the community made it easier with making my loved one feel comfortable. They are happy.

We chose Southern Plaza because of the kindness of the staff and the cleanliness of the facility. They are a Christian based organization as well which was important to us. We knew right away when we walked in that this was the place. The residents here seem very happy which is something that sticks out to us. The apartment sizes are wonderful, she has a large living room and a smaller kitchen which is just what she needed. She has a lot of closet space and a spacious bathroom as well. Overall I would definitely recommend them to others.

I like it here. Everyone is friendly. We have things to do here. The food is pretty good. There is a food menu meeting where residents can voice what they would like to see served to the residents.. Bingo, games, table topics, exercises, devotions, and more are some of the activities for the residents to choose from.

Our loved one is now at Southern Plaza and it is just a night a day experience compared to the first community our loved one was at. They have truly been wonderful, they have worked with us so well in every aspect. The nurses are kind and very friendly. The staff say hi to us every time we visit, and are constantly keeping us updated with anything regarding our loved one. This is the cleanest place I have ever been, and we would recommend Southern Plaza they are excellent.

We toured Arbor House of Waco and it is an extremely nice facility. We did not choose it just because they had a lot of amenities that my mom was not going to be able to utilize so it would have been more expensive.

It is a great place. My loved ones live in the cottages, and these are more on independent area of the campus. The community has assisted living and memory care on site as well. I would recommend the community for others.

Our experience has been excellent, we are very pleased, and very happy. We have no issues with Arbor House, all of our expectations have been met. It is a great place, they work around our schedule, they are very accommodating. They answers all of our questions we have.

We looked around a lot at other communities. We chose Arbor House of Waco because it was a smaller community and it was new. They only have about 60 rooms and they are all in an oval so there are not a lot of hallways. Everybody here has double french doors and a covered patio going off of their room. They also have a courtyard area that all the rooms go out to and residents are able to plant whatever they want to. The staff members here have been like family. It seems more like a neighborhood, it is a very homey feeling. Is it laid back and personal and we love it here.

Their loved ones are in good hands at Arbor House. The staff are very friendly and they do good job. The staff put in extra effort to care for all of the residents. The residents are happy there. I chose this community after I looking at 3 or 4 and I was very happy I picked it. I would recommend that community to other families.

My brothers and I loved the Arbor House. We can’t imagine why anyone would not want to live there. This is the place we have chosen for mom!!! We are super excited. We had several place to look at, this was third on the list, and the searched stopped here.

[Removed] was very personable and committed to the residents. She spoke to several during our tour. It is a nice clean facility. I would recommend a tour to those looking for assisted living.

My mom is currently in Hospice here at Arbor House of Waco. They have been so fabulous in recognizing my mother's need for Hospice and setting everything up for us. All of the staff are great, accessible and helpful and very caring towards my mother. Everything is so clean here and the food is great. They even served me lunch today as I am here with my mom. The staff made sure that my mother's pureed diet was addressed and knew when she was no longer able to eat. My mother's time here has been fabulous and I would definitely recommend Arbor House to my friends and Family.

My dad was only at this community for a short time and things were great. They sent a nurse out to the hospital to see if he could be admitted and he was able to be. The staff were very supportive, caring and sensitive to our needs. They offer good healthy meals. They encouraged him to participate in some of the daily activities. They had an easter egg hunt and threw him a birthday party. The community is very clean.

I toured this community for the care for my mom and dad. This community is clean and very nice, but not what we wanted at the time. We liked this community for my parents. The community is beautiful and it is highly recommended for care and the value

My in laws is doing great since their move to this community. It is a very nice place, and we are pleased with all they have done for us. They do a great job with the cleanliness of the community, everything is very well-kept.The staff is very pleasant, they have been caring, and kind. There are activities offered for the residents. The meals vary's, there is room for improvement with the taste of the food. Overall everything is working out well, and I would recommend this community.

I think of all the places this might be the best fit for mom. Rooms are just for sleeping and the rest of the time they are out with others. 4300/mo includes all, no change in price for higher care level. Can stay until hospice. Rehab/skilled nursing facility right next door. Go back mid summer after more people have moved in. Brand new.

My mom loves to read, in the common room while others are watching TV, the memory care staff will ask her to read to them. The staff are also experts at redirection. For example, a resident is trying to get out a door. The staff might say "that door is not working, I've got to call someone, let's go watch some TV." I would highly recommend this facility. It has eased my mind.

A very clean and safe place. All the staff are very caring. While all my questions were answered before moving in, [name removed] was excellent. Extremely helpful and listened to me, especially on how I needed to handle communications. I can't get anyone to email or call me back when I now have questions. For activities, I do think they could be more engaging in memory care. Also the "games with staff" on the weekends is TV. Watching tv.
