This is a community that feels like home. The staff are very friendly and giving. For an older facility I feel like it is really top notch. When we looked at other communities we felt like many others could not compare.

I would tell others that we had the hard time getting the same staff which was difficult for someone with Alzheimer's. Overall, it was a good experience and I would recommend to others.

I'm very satisfied with Senior Helpers. You should give them a try. They have a CNA on staff who helps with medication, and overall care, light meal cooking, and light housekeeping. My visitor is a wonderful companion, and that is important to me, especially for people living alone.. She will do grocery shopping when necessary.

They were fast, efficient, they kept me informed, and they took excellent notes. If the caregivers had an issue, they would text me or call me immediately. We had several care givers over the period of a month, and they got us through a difficult time. I would recommend them to others.

The first caretaker was not very good but then we got one that we loved. My mom really liked her caretaker Carrie. It served a good purpose and we really appreciated the care from By Your Side. I would recommend them to others who are looking, I would say just to interview them and make sure you get the right fit for your loved one and just be patient with the process. It might take a couple people before you find the right match.

Learn More About Home Care in St. Augustine, FL

A stroll through St. Augustine’s Historic District transports visitors to another era — the mid-1500s, to be exact. That’s when Spanish settlers first landed in this marshy, coastal area carved out by the Matanzas, Tolomato, and San Sebastian rivers. Today you can tour grand cathedrals, Colonial fortresses, Gilded Age mansions, and iconic hotels while exploring downtown St. Augustine’s palm-lined, lantern-lit streets. To the east you’ll find the pristine beaches of Anastasia State Park, and about 30 minutes northwest await the professional courses and resort amenities of the World Golf Village.

Home care, or in-home care, in St. Augustine is a service which offers compassion and help to seniors who need assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) and wish to remain in their homes. Levels of care vary according to need, and can include companionship, meal prep, cleaning, transportation, and help with ADLs like bathing and dressing. Home care aides are trained to understand the nuances of senior care but generally aren’t licensed to provide medical services.

Cost of Home Care in St. Augustine, FL

The median monthly cost of a home health aide in 2020 was about $4,400 in the Jacksonville area and $4,300 in the state of Florida, according to Genworth. To learn more about the cost of home care in St. Augustine, contact one of A Place for Mom’s Senior Living Advisors.
