We moved my aunt into Whispering Pine in August 2021, after a short stay in the hospital, then a local acute care. We were looking for more personal care and attention, which we found at Whispering Pine, a beautifully appointed, clean, and lovely landscaped home in Serrano, El Dorado Hills. 24/7 nurses provide such great care, especially those with memory issues. Their tenderness and attention truly moved me. They also permit hospice care, which allowed extra care in the end. My aunt was given such dignity. [Name removed], the owner, gave her attention to every detail, allowing us to focus on the time we had left with my aunt. She bent over backwards, to offer suggestions and assistance. Their food is good and appealing, even to picky eaters. If you're looking for a place to bring your ailing family members, for short term or long term, I can't recommend Whispering Pines enough. I've referred several friends to them already. [Name removed - owner], thank you for providing this home. You're amazing.... Read more

Our mother had a stroke at the age of 75 that left her requiring full time care, no use of her right arm, unable to walk, and challenged with dementia. She lived at Whispering Pine for 7 YEARS. Our family looked carefully for a care home that we felt could meet all of her needs. We cannot say enough great things about this facility and their staff. One of the biggest blessings was the husband and wife staff-team that were always thorough, sensitive, and reliable in every way. The owner is a very caring and skilled manager, experienced in supporting the elderly with a variety of medical needs. Our mother had her own large room with plenty of storage, sunlight, cable TV, phone (optional), shared private bathroom, etc. The home is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. Our mother thrived at this care facility, and we are totally grateful for the peace of mind and complete confidence we had in the care provided by the staff at Whispering Pine for over half a decade.

I gave 4 stars for activities since our mother could not really participate in any activities. (I am not sure what activities might be offered regularly to some of the 6 residents.) My dad has lived here for over 3 years and the owner and staff have been nothing but supportive, helpful and loving to my dad. The owner has helped to take my dad to doctor appointments when I have not been able to get off work. Each resident has their own room and don't have to share. I highly recommend this business to everyone.
My dad has been a resident here for several years. The home is owned by a wonderful person who goes above and beyond for her residents. Her staff care for my dad like he was their own. When my dad needs to visit the doctor, they are willing to help take him. If he needs a sample dropped at the lab they are always taking care of it. They don't charge you extra if you need help, their residents all have been there for multiple years. Each resident has their own room, none share. Food is great and my dad is a big eater! I would highly recommend this location.
No pets allowed; no activities other than TV and cards.
That was the worst palce I have ever been. It was clean and neat, and the home itself was very nice. You walk in beautiful home, but little did I know how horrible it would be. Russian people own it and you couldn't understand half of them. The food was greasy, fried food that looked like [removed]. Everytime he would go to the bathroom, they never helped him. I would ask if they had walked him that day, because everytime I was there he was in the fetal position in bed. By the time he left, he could hardly stand up by himself anymore. When he had just gotten back from the hospital for dehydration, I asked them if they had given him any water. The girl said thaty they didn't have any water! There's water in the sink... They weren't giving him any water! He has a machine for COPD, and there were so many cuts in the cord, the machine was out in the garage and they kept closing the door on it. The got ahold of my husbands pills after he moved out, and said that they had lost them. They were $1000 to replace, so I told them that they would have to give me $1000, and they "found" them right away. They had been giving them to another patient! Never, ever go there!
