Primacy Place offers larger than normal rooms/apartments. For the price it's much more room and cheaper than most. The facility is clean, but the rooms are not cleaned as good as they say they do. Her rehab was great until the doctor let her enrollment lapse. The Director is excellent with communications. They could improve on more staff. I don't think it's adequately staffed. I don't think their activities are anything anymore either honestly. They are not like they were described upon previewing.

A great place for Dad.
Everyone has shown care and concern for my dad and gone the extra mile doing so. I appreciate that very much. I was impressed by your facility when I visited and that's why my is there. Everyone on your staff has been very pleasant to communicate with and has given excellent care and compassion for my dad. I would recommend your facility a 100 percent.

Overall a nice community --Our Family's Experience
My Aunt is diabetic as are several other residents. She would prefer more meals tailored to her medical condition. The food has been her main complaint-more fresh produce and less canned goods type meals. They post a lot of pics on fb so we are able to see them being engaged with the residents. They have lots of creative activities for the residents. My aunt seems to be happy. Overall my family is pleased. Cost is always an issue because other family members have to supplement it. Aging is expensive.

Our Experience
My loved one is currently a resident at Village at Primacy Place and things have been very good for her at this facility so far. The staff is friendly and reasonably helpful. The housekeeping is okay, though the maintenance seems just so so. The move in process was not smooth. The meals look appealing. My suggestions for improvement is to have an online pay portal for rent, a field application for reporting maintenance issues, and an online activity calendar. In terms of recommending Village at Primacy Place to others, I think I would.

Village at Primacy Place review
We have been Very pleased with [name removed] care at the Village at Primacy Place. Michael is happy living there, (and he can be somewhat difficult to please). The most important marker for the quality of his care is that [name removed] would typically have to go to the ER, every 3-4 weeks, sometimes leading to extended ICU stays. Since living at Primacy Place, (date removed), he has not had one major event requiring him to go to the ER!! Thank you to you and the Awesome Staff for the excellent care you are giving to our brother [name removed]!!

My mother loved The Village.
My mother loved The Village. It was perfect for her; the friendly staff, excellent food, and pleasant atmosphere made her time there ideal. Unfortunately, she passed away in December from complications of a GI bleed. But our memories of her time there are entirely positive. I am grateful to have found The Village for her care.

Room for improvement
Since I'm not the one living there, my Aunt is, it's difficult to say. We've had some issues with Healthcare. She had a UTI for several weeks after telling the staff that she was not well. The in house doctor only comes twice a month. Also trouble with getting help after hours and weekends. There is always room for improvement.

My experience there was was a short term (30 day) stay for my Mother after hip replacement surgery. She was very well cared for there. Staff was excellent, friendly and knowledgeable. Always there quickly when called. They went the extra mile to get my Mom up and about. At first she didn't want to get out of her room but before she left she was enjoying going to dinner and the company of her dinner partners The accommodations were excellent, clean and comfortable. The grounds are well kept and enjoyable. The food was mostly good, some meals could have been better prepared. I wouldn't describe the meals as gourmet. If my Mother ever needs assisted living again, I will most definitely choose The Village at Primacy Parkway.

Wouldn't Recommend
The meal plan and dining is very good. The residents get three proper meals a day. I am currently concerned about the caretaker staff, mainly regarding keeping my loved one clean. If I approach individual caretakers, they just deny it. So I'm having to go to the director. The common spaces in the facility are fine, although they could use some new carpets or at least deep clean them, and some of the furniture is outdated. The dining room is always very clean, as are the areas where they do activities. But ultimately I would like to see better personal care provided to my loved one.

They treat mom like family!
From what we can see the community is kept clean, and the staff members are excellent they would be a ten out of ten. They send the families a monthly newsletter stating the activities they have going on for the residents. They also give the residents a note everyday with the activities they have. They have been awesome with the COVID protocols, and are more than willing to help out our loved one since we are not able to do so ourselves.

Enjoy Activities with Your New Friends
I have lived in several communities, but The Village is the only one that really creates a community for the residents. There are many activities every day--from a summer garden to bingo with movies included. You can read a book from the library or take a walk around the campus or just rest in the shade on the front porch. There are parties each month to welcome newcomers and those who have a birthday each month. But most important is the kindness and care that everyone receive from members of the staff.

A Place for Mom has scored Village at Primacy Place 9 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.

We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.

Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score.
